Portable Air Conditioners 14,000 BTU Portable AC Unit 4-in-1 Air Conditioner Portable for Room up to 500 Sq. Ft. Large, Mobile Cooler with Remote Control

This is an easy unit to set up. It was delivered in 3 days. We are currently in a historic heat wave when my central a/c unit went out. The moment I turned this new unit on, it blasted ice cold air. It cooled the room down immediately. It is nearly silent. My fan makes more noise. It cooled the room down faster than my broken central unit used to. The instructions have some spelling errors that are a bit confusing, i.e. hose for hole, and incomplete sentences. My biggest complaint is that the instructions do not say a word about the on/off button on the plug. This is an amazingly, superb unit at a fraction of the cost of replacing my central unit. I was able to use the interest free, monthly payment option on my Amazon Card. VERY THANKFUL, AND PLEASED. Update-I have run this unit nonstop for over a month. My electric bill has gone down each month. This unit is very economical to run. Though I have checked on the humidifier, there has not been any water to drain off. I live in a VERY humid part of the country.At times the air it blows out smells like freshly dried linens. Not sure what that is about. The unit cycles off when the desired room tempuature is met. I would purchase a second unit before I would pay thousands of dollars to repair the central air.

It's a very neat AC that's beautifully designed. I have an office full of windows and it gets hot much quicker than other rooms. I don't want to keep that main AC open only for cooling down the office when other rooms are not hot so I found this one. It fits perfectly in the room and looks so modern. I tried it last weekend when it was super hot (close to 100) and it works pretty well! Very powerful and cools the room in only a few minutes. My office is relatively small so not sure how it works for a big room, but should not be a problem. Some downsides: 1. the extension board for mounting the pipe onto the window is too long and it's very hard to cut the very thick plastic. 2. I wish the manual could be easier to read/follow, I installed it mostly relying on my guesses:) 3. A little louder than expected but still quieter than a window AC and way more efficient and easy to install.

It’s not very easy to get it set up. It’s way to load to have in a bedroom and to keep a room that is 12x14 some what cool in 80 degree weather it needs to be set at 62 which is the lowest setting. Not really worth the money!!UpdatedThe company reached out to me after I posted my review, not sure but I think it was just an automated response. However they did take care of the problem by sending me a replacement AC unit. The service was great and I received the new unit within 3 days. I haven’t had a chance to use the new unit as of yet because I live in north central Wisconsin and it hasn’t been warm enough to justify it. So I’m hoping next summer it will do the job it was meant to.With the service I received I would now recommend any product this company has to offer.Great customer service!!

Granted that we've had a stretch of hot weather lately but I bought this AC to take the place of a 5000 btu window unit. That window unit seemed to be cooler than this AC which is 14000 btus. I specifically bought this to take care of 3 rooms. When on, you can feel the cold air but as soon as you step away, it's hot. I've had to close 1 room and now you can feel a slight difference but it still will not get down to the temp needed and I've had this running non stop for 2 weeks now. The lowest it'll get the temp down to is 73. If I could return this, I would but we already broken down the box. Highly disappointed.

The media could not be loaded. It was my first time to buy a so expensive item on Amazon. I wouldn't say it is really quiet,but it is really more quiet than my old 8000btu window A/C.a little bit noisy when it start to running,become quiet after 4-5mins.My bedroom is about 2000 square ft,14000 btu is pretty enough for my room,So I don't know if it still make cool for like 4500 square ft.but it could run very well in 2000 square ft room.I bought 12000btu because I don't want AC runs all the time to make noise all the time.At the first I didn't read the instructions,it took me a while to figure out how I should install it,it was pretty easy.the Most import thing is this one is much safety than old window AC,I always afraid of one day my old AC would drop down from the second floor.Right now I replace the old AC,I would never worry about that issue.

It’s not cooling the room adequately. Even though we have our central AC on. Our room get all day sun, so it’s always the warmest room in the house. I made sure I picked the size of unit to accommodate the size of my room and bathroom. I’m not sure why this unit isn’t cooling off my room as I was hoping. I haven’t made a decision if I am going to keep it yet. By the way it’s a super easy set up. And I really like the options.

Also dehumidifier works great.As with all portable A/C's the vent at the back just wish someone invented one with vent on top so as hot air pipe goes up to window.Recommended.
