Mijello MWP-3040 Silver 40 Watercolor Stain Resistant Palette

This palette is really sturdy, seals tightly when closed, has really nice deep wells for larger brushes, 2 large areas for mixing and it was very easy to prep so water won't bead up. It's larger than I was thinking but that's not a problem for me. The only thing I didn't think through is how my paints react when it's closed. Recently I started adding a couple other professional brands to my Daniel Smith paints. I'm so used to DS drying I didn't think of my new paints remaining moist. Turns out I should have made sure they were on the bottom when closing. They made a huge mess. That's the only drawback to this palette...if you have paints that don't dry, gravity will most likely not be your friend.

This is a plastic palette. Not suitable for watercolor, as plastic is hydrophobic. But for plastic, it feels high quality. And it's sleek looking. The layout of the palette is nice.

It's a plastic palette, but the quality is good, and mixing area is big enough. I just received it and set it up, so I can't comment about potential stain issue. I am happy with the purchase.

It's large and accommodates a lot of paints, but it is not stain proof. Highly pigmented colors may cause discoloration.

Sturdy easy to load up, smooth mixing, unlike many I do not like to pre-scrape my pallets but even so, there is very little beading, and very little left behind color after mixing.

Didn't care for storage design - paint over paint

This is the third Mijello pallet I have bought and it is also my favorite!

Great palette for a lot of colors. You need to “season” the mixing area first with a Mr. Clean heavy duty sponge (white ones) to keep pigment from beading. The design is weird. The pans are on the same side of the top and bottom so that when you close it you risk colors getting mixed with each other when wet.
