Resveratrol & Pterostilbene

Though I would much rather drink a glass of wine than take a pill for the health benefits of Reservatrol in the wine that is impossible because it would take probably 80 glasses to do what a pill can do. Pterostilbene has the same benefit as Reservatrol only is a so into the bloodstream better. I take it for that reason. I can only say that I do feel fine taking this pill no side effects like a headache.

This is a very high-quality supplement containing two proven anti-aging substances. I have been taking this for about two months now. I was pretty healthy before I started taking this supplement, so I don't notice any radical difference in my overall well being. I am taking this more as a preventative. Vital nutrients to help keep us in one piece as we get older.

This is a Amazon Prime product, but they send me to Vitamonk's support page. They do NOT answer a phone and tell you to use email. I have sent two emails and no answer. We have used the Pterostilbene with any issues many times and this is the first time with this particular combination. I finally received an email with a list of questions which I promptly replied to with answers. Unknown if I can get a refund, and who will send it?

I've taken this supplement for about two weeks now and I do believe it has helped with my muscle aches and given me more energy. For me it seems to work better than turmeric. I will definitely reorder. This is one of the pterostilbene products with the highest rating out there.

As I was preparing to write this review I read some Q&A on Amazon about it. One stood out where VitaMonk gave a partial explanation of their process. As the consumer of supplements one of the hardest things for me is assuring myself the product is what it says it is and that it is safe. Today even prescription drugs are dispensed that are later found to be contaminated by foreign chemicals. I looked up the VitaMonk site on Amazon to get more of an explanation about their QC process. There is nothing there. I would urge VitaMonk to give an explanation of their company and QC program on Amazon under their name. The most important things for me would be how they assure the quality of the product (described in the Q&A I saw) but also how they test for foreign chemicals, heavy metals, etc. Many products today are produced without review of small amounts of foreign items. I suspect they have a statistical QC process but I have no information about it. This review is NOT to say there is ANY issue with VitaMonk, I am simply asking for more information to help me the consumer. If I had a supplement company that clearly explained their process I would likely move more of my supplements over to them. I am not one to can tell any significant difference in taking the supplements except that I have folicular lymphoma and this supplement can aid in fighting it. After 5 years it has not come back so I am trusting this supplement along with the other supplements I take and activities I do is part of the reason for my success.

Product came with a couple of capsules that opened most likely in production. The cotton in the bottle was solid brown when we opened. Assuming the efficacy of the product is fine, but packaging on this one was awful and a hassle as you get powder on your hands every time you get a pill.

So many supplements are in smallish containers even though we consume them daily. Those small containers result in a high per-dose cost. I bought the large VitaMonk container of pterostilbene so that my supplement regimen is more affordable. Haven't opened the container yet so I can't respond to swallowing or longevity.
