larger than I hoped for. All Plastic, not put to the test yet, bought to keep in Vechs, general purpose needs if necessary. For plastic seems ok, built, blade lock mechanism, maybe an issue over time , just a spring loaded plastic piece on top, with 2 metal teeth embedded in the plastic, meh on the design imho

got a pack of these for me and some of my coworkers. They were safe, cut good, grip well in hand and the blades were very easy to change. They clean easy. They fold up nice for your pocket. The price was totally right on these.

These box cutters are functional and easy to use. The 4 pack I purchased had 2 boxes of extra blades (maybe 5 in each box?). So worth the $10.

Get what you pay for I suppose. These knives are plastic. I have been carrying one at work with very little use for less than 2 weeks and it feels like its components are getting looser. It rattles when I shake it. Razor blades are sharp and dangerous and I don't feel confident that this knife will hold together when cutting carpet and other building materials as I need to. Probably a good homeowner knife cutting Amazon boxes open and such tho.

Handy, first class, quality

I really like this brand I've been buying these for years. Having said that; there are easily overlooked material composition variances between the 2 Pack and the 4 Pack.Avoid the 2 Pack!!The 2 Pack Kata box cutters are a flimsier plastic, and the blade changer is so lightweight that when you open the box cutter simply touching the blade changer, the whole blade falls out. It's DANGEROUS. I had to duct tape the blade changer down. What a nuisance. Because of this I need to lower my previous rating from 5 stars to 4 stars. Do yourself a favor, if you use a box cutter daily avoid the 2 Pack Katas at all costs.Update:I purchased the 4-pack thinking that the design flaw was only in the 2 pack. The 4 pack is now also a cheap plastic with the blade release/changer lever right where your thumb touches to open it. So, as you open the box cutter the blade is released risking injury and damage to the blade. As I write this, I regretfully have to lower this products' rating to 1 star. After years of buying this Kata boxcutter I will never again purchase this brand. This new design flaw and lower quality screws and parts is simply too dangerous.
