The right memory is important in any rig. This matched the memory in a business-class Dell I use for a home theater PC. No issues. There's a reason you will find Hynix in Biz-class stuff from Dell. They are about reliability at that level.

I bought this hoping it will fix the freezing up problem I had. At first it didn't work so I got a new computer. Since then the darn thing started working and now I have 2 computers, oui!

Dell OptiPlex is very particular about the voltage requirement for the memory. It has to be Dual Channel, PC3L (not PC3), 1600MHz, DDR3 SDRAM, non-ECC, operating at 1.35V. The 16GB RAMs I received just worked flawlessly and passed the diagnostics test without any problem.
