This game is similar to Cover Your Assets! The game is based off of the old game called "Steal the Bundle", but the truth is Cover Your Assets led the way. We just made the game different with action cards and in a way that we believe makes the play of game MUCH better! We hope you enjoy it! Especially the fun goats!

What is the average length of playing time for 2 players. And more than 2 players?

Thanks for asking! The game is better played with 3 players and up! It may be played with 2 players but we suggest you play with 5 cards in your hand instead of 4. The time to finish would be 25-30 mins.

What are the action cards?

The action cards help you use more strategy in the game. There are all kinds of action cards: some allow you to take a card from another player for use in your turn, allow you to have everyone pass their cards left/right, or even block an action card that another player is trying to play on you. Considering for family with 4 teens, but 2 teens who speak only limited English (French is first language). Is there a lot of reading during the game?

Goat Lords was designed as a card game that didn't need a lot of reading to play. The main premise of the game is to match goat cards and build the biggest herd! There is some reading needed to understand the action cards, but once learned are very easy to remember.
