effective
Has a medicinal smell, like a faint tiger balm. Not getting any lavender. I grow lavender and make lavender syrup so I’m pretty familiar with the smell.I have a small wax pot and usually use wax beads that make a soft, thick, opaque goo. I usually have to go over areas at least twice and it doesn’t usually grab finer hairs (like most of my leg hair). This is very thin and runny, and it’s brittle if you try to apply a thin coat. I found it helps to add another layer immediately after the first so I can pull it off in one piece. Initially I did a very thin layer and I was just picking off hard little pieces. This wax gets everything and if you have a lot of very fine, dense hairs it’s worse than ripping off a bandaid. I didn’t have a problem with my armpits at all but after testing my legs and a bit of my jawline I was done experimenting. When I took it off my jawline I’m pretty sure I saw my life flash before my eyes. I’m sure it says somewhere on here not to put it on your face but I didn’t read it and if I had I probably would have tried it anyway. It is messier than wax beads, since the consistency is thinner. There are drips and strings of wax all over and I was trying to be careful by spinning the stick over the pot for a couple seconds (letting it cool off and thicken up a teensy bit). It also leaves little bits of wax all over if you aren’t careful about the edges when you apply it. You want to keep the edges pretty thick. If they’re thin and transparent they won’t get picked up with the rest of the wax and it’s hard to get all the little pieces off.

Easy to apply and use
This is great for those home waxing experiences. This wax melts quite well in a standard warmer. It's easy to apply and pulls well. This is a fairly good sized package of beads however is a bit more expensive, and therefore not as good of a value, then others that we've used, without any advantage in the use.

This stuff works so well!
First off, mine came in a bag and was the beads. It sounds like some people were getting full blocks of wax, which is definitely not what this listing is for. This wax worked really well. I was surprised at how good it was at sticking to the shortest hairs-much better than what I had been using before. It also melts easily and stays pliable long enough to put on with no problem.I'm completely happy with this wax and will be switching to it because it really does a much better job than my current wax and the price is comparable.

Wanted to like this, it's a no for me.
I am relatively new to at home waxing. I have tried a few brands and am still learning techniques, with that being said, I would not recommend this wax at all if you are new. I wouldn't recommend it altogether, but maybe my lack of experience is getting in the way.The wax is supposed to be at 140 degrees working temp, I find that this is a good honey consistency like it says...however on application, I find that it doesn't pull up all my hairs and I'm having to re wax, or parts that are spread too thin are really difficult to get off my skin. There is a window of time where the wax comes off great, but if you try to apply to different areas to speed up the process and leave a "strip" too long, it becomes extremely hard and brittle. It shatters to a bunch of pieces and clean up is a pain in the butt.Smells fine, melts fine, color is pretty.. I would not ever get this again.

Most painless wax
This wax is not cheap at first glance. However, one, you receive a huge almost a 2 lbs. package that is a higher quality wax than the salons I go to use. And two, this is a fraction of the cost of one Brazilian outside somewhere. This bag is likely a full year or two worth of waxes. What makes this worth its weight in gold is NO PAIN. I don't usually use caps locks in a review, or give 5 stars. But this is holy grail. I have never used a wax that is this painless before. I had zero redness of skin afterward, which is a first. And the few small pieces that stuck came right off for easy removal. The beads melt easily in the microwave or a warmer, and stay quite flexible for removal, unlike others that can flake off in pieces everywhere. This will be my go to from now on over any company's "sensitive" wax. Love that this is made in Australia, not China, so I trust the quality. Super smooth! Can I say I wax poetic about this wax? Haha.

Good wax! Better than a lot of high end brands I’ve tried
I’m an at home DIY waxer and I’ve tried several different brands. I won’t claim to be any kind of professional who understands the ins and outs of wax, but I will say I am impressed with this wax. It melted thoroughly, went on well and allowed time to spread it before hardening too much. The Brazilian area is always sensitive, no wax is pain-free, but I do believe some waxes help and don’t feel like you’re ripping your soul away. This wax was pretty good in that realm. I waxed with it after a decent period of time having skipped and let hair grow in pretty well. As long as I prepped well, it worked great. There were a couple of spots I didn’t prep as well and I managed to get some skin layers. The wax didn’t harden too fast or break apart. A couple of times it took longer to harden than I needed but I guess that’s part of it sometimes. I tried to pull it too soon.I believe for the price, the quantity and quality of the wax is good. I’ve filled my tub up twice and still have plenty to last a while. I look forward to continuing to use it as I try to do better keeping up with my waxes.
