If you are trudging through deep water, no, not waterproof, which is disappointing. An everyday walk in the grass across a field they are perfect for.

Q: My daughter normally wears a size 6 in shoes. Would a 6 or 7 be best in these boots

I am between a size 5 and a 6. I bought a 5 and they are a great fit. Really comfortable and roomy enough for thicker socks.
