Zebra Carbon Fibre Boomerang

I bought mine for around $20 from Colorado Boomerangs. It came with an instruction booklet, which I highly recommend you read and even memorize as there is an art to throwing a boomerang. This one works, and works well. When I opened it I noticed it actually has a carbon fiber weave on the top side if you look closely. The actual boomerang says Frog on the top, which I assume is the brand name. On the bottom side it says LMI and Fox, modele deposte 89, France, Olivier Vouktchevitch French Team Captain. When I read this, I knew this was a legitimate boomerang and NOT a cheaply made piece of junk that wouldn't return (like the first boomerang I bought). There was no wind the first time I took it out, so it couldn't make its way all the way around back to me. On its second outing I found it likes a little gust that gets the leaves on trees moving. I gave it some good spin and decent power and I could catch it or get it to land at my feet nearly every time. The wind was a little unpredictable though and I managed to accidentally hit a baseball backstop once and it glided into the road a second time so beware that wind conditions are critical when throwing a boomerang. It still works fine though so its build is very strong and rigid. And let's not forget it can be thrown in a drizzle of rain, which would warp and ruin a wood boomerang. I would recommend giving yourself at least 50-60 yards distance all the way around you because sometimes the wind can pick up and this thing will really fly. This is my first real boomerang and after such a great experience I am hooked! I recommend this model and hope they never stop making it!

I have had boomerangs before and this one especially on a calm day will not return, a couple of days ago there was a slight breeze and would turn and try to come back some but never made it half way. If you like running 50-60 yards after it every throw here you go. I think it's made too flat, not enough foil?

I graduated to this from a light wooden beginner level boomerang, where I could throw and catch it (or have it land in such a spot where I could have caught it) about 80% of the time.This one is a WAY faster, heavier, and needs a lot more room. I throw this on an empty high school baseball field near my house, and even that is barely enough space. I haven't been able to get it to come back yet... my flights look more like horseshoes than circles, but if it did come back I'd be getting out of the way instead of trying to catch it. This thing moves fast.I couldn't give this product 5 stars because I personally didn't enjoy it. This boomerang doesn't fit my skill level or the area I throw in. But I couldn't give this a bad review either, since I knew this was a different kind of boomerang than what I was used to, the seller gave me quick delivery, and the product was as advertised.All I can say is, don't make this your first boomerang and don't underestimate the amount of room you'll need. I wouldn't feel entirely safe throwing this unless I had 60-70 yards to play with.

Carbon Fibre is a pretty tough material. Don't see this boomerang getting dinged or chipped anytime soon, but it also means you can't really tune the wings.Flies Far, so you need a large space. You also should be extra careful of your surroundings when you throw this, this one could really hurt if it hits someone because its pretty hard.Throwing takes a bit more effort to get it to return than my other boomerangs, needs a good bit of power and spin.

I might be able to say more, however on the first throw (following the instructions to the letter) it disappeared. My son and I have never seen anything like it. We were in an open field, light breeze; I hauled back and gave it it's maiden throw. It shot straight down the field, started to bank and took off like a shot on a tangential trajectory that lifted it up, up, and out of sight. Yes it does fly, and has a well constructed feel. We never did find it, so with one throw only, I can only rate average.

Please do not waste you money or time. I read the reviews and thought this was going to be a really good and professional boomerang. NO! It is not even shaped right. This NEVER even tried to return back. This is just like throwing a stick. If you have a dog that will go fetch it for you then be my guest and get it. Otherwise, if you are like me and don't like to waste hard earned money, then you better get one elsewhere.

Amazon asked how I would rate this "toy" in four categories. Let me be clear that THIS IS NOT A TOY. It is too heavy and fast to be safely used by young children. Now to my review:I have to admit that upon arrival, I was a little disappointed. This boomerang looked a little smaller than I imagined, and it didn't have the carbon fiber look to it that I expected. It just looks like plastic. But throwing it really brings out its quality. Because of the heavier weight than the wood boomerangs I'm used to, it flies a little farther, and more stable. It does require a little more wind than the lighter units... but when there's a moderate breeze, it is the best that I have. I've experienced a few strikes against light poles, chain-link fences, and rocky dirt, but it hasn't shown any wear at all. I guess that proves that the carbon fiber is serious. Due to the weight, I feel that it requires a little more care to be safe. When it returns at a high rate of speed, I don't try to catch it. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Flew really well, broke very easily. Don't recommend it, I am very disappointed!
