These are fun to watch and play with. This one is very active, with a good quantity of lazy streamers evenly distributed across the globe. It has a sound activated mode. The globe itself is plastic, which I think is a good thing so it won't easily break. I bought this anticipating to use it in classroom demonstrations of how it interacts with magnetic fields and external high voltage from Van De Graff and Tesla Coils. I was a bit surprised that there was zero interaction - I honestly expected something. That led me down an interesting rabbit hole as to why it doesn't work. They say, the best way to learn something is to try and teach it. This is in no way a product fault, this is just the way the science works. If you are looking for a Plasma Globe, this is a good one to choose.

Who doesn’t love staring at a plasma ball? The answer is NOBODY. This arrived in its box with the picture in the side and all. Not taped shut, not put in another box, just as is. When the driver handed me this it was so light I thought it was empty! It wasn’t. It’s just very light. Simple to use, plug and play. 3 settings - steady, noise activated and OFF. Doesn’t get easier than this folks. Turned on immediately and was exactly as expected. I’m just a dork who had $50 burning a hole. Worth it to me.

Good product, looks like it will hold up. Purchased for 8 year old All functions work well, however, I wish the voice or noise activation was a bit more sensitive and the plasma effects had a longer term before turning off. Color of plasma is lighter than the picture on the box, not red but sorta pink… overall, for a child, pretty cool night light.
