When I called the company to be sure how to use this product, they told me it's not as effective as their regular product. It is however safe for children and pets immediately upon putting it down. It is also safe to use around things you plan to eat. I have put it down in part of my yard, but not all of it. The weather has been very rainy.

The gloves are great for gripping, and give you additional dexterity to complete tasks. However, the reduced stars are for two reasons: the product does NOT help protect your hand from thorns (I have dewberry vines to pull), which it was billed to do in the description, and because the gloves did not last very long--with moderate use, the fingertips were torn out within approximately 5 or 6 uses. I need gloves more durable than that.For light gardening these gloves are probably fine though.

We have used the regular Preen for years with great success. Figuring this would be just as good, we ordered it. It prevents some of the weeds, but not all, and seems to have a much shorter life than the regular Preen. It may be easier and less frustrating to weed your veggies by hand....it does work somewhat, though -- at least the weeds are kept down a bit.

This product was a waste of money. It does not work at all. I followed directions and weeds abound !!!

Some of the weeds grew back but not as bad. Overall I think it helped.

Arrived on time/little early, and is the product and size displayed. Preen for veg gardens is very hard to find at retail around here. I used this last year under a bark mulch and it was great, no weeds for many many months (not much rain here in CA). I wanted the organic product because I am planting an area of catnip for my outdoor kitty, and he will certainly be eating the catnip. Thank you, Amazon!

I bought this in hopes of keeping bird seed from sprouting under the feeders. I not only OVER applied the product but I apply the product more frequently. I have just as many bird seed sprouts as ever :( I put in down, raked it into the mulch, reapplied, raked that in, topped it off w/ more and watered in. The seeds appreciated the water.Mind you I applied round up and hand weeded this entire area before applying this stuff. I removed the feeders from this area while waiting for product to arrive and also to watch for any sprouts I may of missed. It was a week of being weed free before I applied this and put my feeders back.

It was so nice to just order the product and have it arrive 2 days later. I didn't have to drive to the store, get the bags in my cart, stand in line at checkout, get it into the car, drive home, get it out of the car... so much easier this way!
