Ceramic Bucket Water Filter Kit

The biggest hurdle for me was getting the right size container. A 5-gallon bucket wouldn't work so I used pork skins containers. Fits above my sink and fills the container in about half an hour. The pic shows tap water being filtered, not rainwater, but if tap water is coming out pure and clean tasting, I'm not concerned about rainwater. ~$30 for the filter/spigot and I have filtered water that's equal to brand name filters and I don't have to replace the filter every few months? Outstanding! Wasn't supposed to be here for a couple weeks and showed up in 3 days. Great service with zero hiccups, performs as stated, and easy on my wallet? That's how you make me a repeat customer. Thank you! Used colored aquarium glass "stones" for counterweight and stability in first container and cuz it makes the water purty. 😁

Spicket is not of the highest quality and appears not only to be constructed wrong, but the plastic lever is ready to break.

This filter is an affordable and fairly easy set up to get clean water in emergency situations. The whole process took less than an hour to put together. I was able to source the buckets from a local restaurant and used some other sealant materials I already had in stock. This is easily worth the money especially if you are in a disaster-prone area and looking for a cost-effective solution. I highly recommend this!

this was super easy to setup and makes a huge difference. I use this in the galley of my sailboat to make the water from my tanks taste better and to guard against potential bacterial contamination. i did not use the provided spigot or 5 ga buckets. i used two stacking beverage dispensers each about a 2.5 gallons. the filter is installed in the top dispenser and clean water lands in the bottom dispenser. this setup fits next to the galley sink and is lashed down so it doesn't go astray in rough weather. the included sock does exactly what it claims, but is a giant pain in the ass.

If you're looking for a backup drinking water supply, this is what you need. All you need is a couple food grade 5gal. buckets and a source of water (lake, stream). It'll serve you well for camping or for emergency/survival needs.
