All in all, not a bad camera and client software for the price.
I purchased this camera and the Reolink brand based on cost and reviews, to replace my older 1080P Hikvision and AXIS cameras. I find the optical zoom and 4K color quality great, and as features good as an older AXIS brand I had used for years. It was larger than I anticipated and I had to modify my old camera base to get it to fit. I have purchased two more Reolink 4K dome cameras for a better fit under the eaves of my home and purchased the Reolink brand bases for each, which I recommend, for the cabling and connectors are bulky to fit in the base so their brand had more room inside than cheaper aftermarket ones. I use SD cards only and have had great results with those over the years, so no NVR to mess with for I have a POE switch to power cameras via CAT6 cable. The setup of this camera and their dome units was real easy using their APP or PC, I also view and playback on my desktop PC, all client software is free. The AI pet, person, and vehicle detection identification works better than other brands I have tried so, as of this post, I am pleased as to how well these features works. All in all, not a bad camera and client software for the price, so that is why I have been moving forward with replacing my old cameras with this brand, using variations of their 4K models for where and why I am placing cameras. My concerns are security of the cameras of getting hacked and I am having issues with connecting to them off site from time to time, for sometimes they connect, other times they don't. I am still looking into that and I think cellular connection quality impact that. Also, I wish they had adjustable back light compensation and WDR. They do time lapse recording which I enjoy using but playback of those can be very slow, for the camera to compile the clip can take as long as 10 minutes, but other brands of cameras I have used seem to be that way. Reolink support is like other brands, in that it's somewhat lacking and you play hunt and find on the web to get an answer. There is no documentation that comes with this camera, all is online only. I have experience with networking cameras so I didn't have any problems with setup, for it is very straight forward using the APP.

Exceptional Camera; Great Details, Zoom, and Low Light Vision
For now there's not much more to say other than it works great. I'll review this in more detail later. One thing to note. Limiting the power supply to 12V 1A as recommended results in the camera failing to turn on. This would not be an issue over POE, since the router or power injector would be very unlikely to have a hard 1A limit, and 48V is recommended anyways. If using the DC5521 barrel connector, them I'd recommend using a 2A adapter just to be on the safe side. Actual power usage is only about 0.6A once it turns on properly (even with the 4W floodlights on), so I'm unsure why it needed more than 1A when turning on.

Works with ease, playback and all, over your phone! Love it!!
Purchased these wired Reolink cameras (3) and a Reolink doorbell camera to replace a crapp@#y ARLO wireless system. Suggest you go online and view a bunch of YouTube videos that compare the Reolink to other cameras. In the end, this was the best quality and price (best bang for the buck) that I found. "THE" hardest part of the install was running the ethernet cables. My kid helped me and after a 1/2 day, BAM, all cables run and cameras mounted and connected (click). Of course, I connected ALL cameras to the provided DVR and my puter and verified they all worked (including the cables) and all was well. I tested camera video via my cell phone app, worked the first time and just perfect! NO ISSUES! Wowzers!! I must say I was really happy. After cable runs and physical installation, I verified each camera using my phone app (while on the ladder) and adjusted each camera, LIVE, with very little lag. I have to say, after fighting with ARLO cameras 2, 5, 10, sec to multi-min lag, the near zero lag of the Reolink was soooooo wonderful! Been using the cameras for several months now! Rain, cold, heat, no issues. I did have to fight a little with the no-detection zones as every bug or tree shadow movement triggered an alert. My backyard alerts are still a little problematic due to camera placement hear a shade that moves into no-detections zones if its really windy. But front and driveway cameras work great and alert me correctly when my kid comes home or I get a delivery! One time, as noted in my Reolink doorbell camera, I actually had a conversation with a lady who went to the wrong house .... and I was in another State!! You can also speak through this camera and listen to all the night creatures many sounds. Recording is just fantastic and you can playback via the computer or your phone. I have a computer switch so I can switch between multiple computers and the DVR. One note on this, for some reason, the DVR mouse would not switch, so I have a seperate USB mouse for the DVR but at least audio (mono) and video (one monitor) switch. I had to get a phono to mini adaptor to get audio into my switch. Bottom line, great camera and FREE video monitoring via your cell phone! Goodby ARLO $10/m and HELLO ReoLink FREE DVR! Note you can subscribe to Reolink "cloud" services, but why? The DVR holds a weeks worth of video and I have mine running 24/7 (not just on triggers like most wireless systems). It just overwrites older days video.

The 5x Zoom is the best part of the camera
This camera is located on a rural road to monitor vehicles going by. Although it can capture images of most vehicles it is unfortunately way too slow of a shutter speed to get a clear image unless they are creeping along very slowly. The video suffers the same. However, setting the zoom as high as possible allows the vehicle in the video to appear much closer, while at the same time its actual movement appears slower so the video is much clearer. This has allowed me to actually read license plates if the vehicles are traveling at "normal" speeds. When traveling faster, it is still too blurred even with the zoom enabled. The distance from the camera is about 50 to 100 feet away for the area that can capture a reasonably clear image/video. Anything closer causes too much blur. And I'm unsure why, but the video is always clearer than the snapshots which are almost always blurred to some extent, although still easily able to identify the color and make of the vehicle is most instances. They are fine if the vehicle is moving fairly slow. The included image is to show the area being monitored and the snapshot blur on a vehicle moving at a moderately slow speed. Bottom line is that it needs a little faster shutter speed, or maybe double the zoom?

ReoLink - the perfect Wyze replacement
I love ReoLink cameras. I started with one 811A, and have stayed with it, purchasing 3 more, 2 to replace old Eufy cameras. Eventually will also replace the Wyze cameras, because unless you pay a yearly subscription you only get image captures. ReoLink doesn't have a subscription model, your videos are your videos and having the ability to pull up an old video for the police or personal reasons is huge. Also love the warranty. The procrss is fairly simple. Had one camera just die after almost 2 years and it was replaced. Unfortunately the replacement only lasted for less than a week and when I checked, it had rust in the port and 2 pins were missing. Totally confused because rust doesn't move that fast. But again the warranty team came through and replaced the replacement. Checked the 2nd replacement's port, it appears clean and the device setup went smooth. Waiting for any temperatures above 50 to install. My only con is that the only color they have is white.

Low Quality Cameras that dont meet their own published specs
I am a security camera installer and decided to test this camera to possibly use for customers who could not afford $300+ cameras for their stores. Despite 4K stated resolution by Reolink the camera picture of my patio at 22ft became fuzzy. Its more like 2mp camera due to poor quality lens and video processor. It only has 4 motion zones so if you want to block out several trees, roads and shrubs you will need at least 8 zones. Camera does not record if there is no SD card installed so if you install one and it goes bad 2 weeks later your camera will not record! All of these problems and cheap electronics and lens make a garbage camera. I have quality 2mp cameras in operation for over 6 years that are better than these. FYI, I did reach out to Reolink tech line and that person was pretty much useless and only had me check for the power connection and then they passed me off to tech support via email and took them 3 days to respond. Talked with these supposed "experts" and I knew more about their camera than they did and it took 6 days going back and forth to get it running and a camera picture and I did that myself having to change my computer IP address from 192.168.1.xx to 192.168.0.xx and I had to google what the default Reolink IP address was because its not in their instructions with the camera which are poor. Just stay away from these bad low quality cameras and low quality tech help. Also be advised these are not NDAA approved cameras as they have corrupt chinese processors that can be used by them to hack your camera and get past your password into your computer system! Huge RED FLAG!!!!

Great Front Door Camera
Connected to my existing Reolink NVR system with no compatibility issues. Great quality and I love the light up on detection feature. Picture quality is great and the talk back feature works great as well. Sound quality is very good. This camera was easy to install just like the older Reolink cameras I have.

This is a great camera!
This is a great camera with only 1 small problem. The cable connector IS NOT WATER PROOF. Water still gets into the connector despite having the screw together water resistant covers. Basic rain still gets in over time. This destroyed one of our cameras by shorting out the power pin to a data pin. We will be replacing the damaged unit, but the network connector is going into a separate water resistant electrical box. All of our other cameras are under the roof edge so they never got wet in any way. This one camera does get rained on and the network cable connector failed because of it. Other than that, these are amazing cameras! I added this camera to my OOSSXX NVR and it worked perfectly. Sadly my NVR doesn't accept the full resolution this camera can produce. But I am so happy that I was able to dial down the resolution slightly so it would work with my NVR. I love the FTP feature that allows me to capture video or images and send them directly to my FTP account for safe keeping and easy access. It can also record directly to an SD card if you install one. I am not using that feature but it is nice. The web interface built into the camera is fantastic. You do need the mobile app to initialize the camera, but once you initialize it and turn on HTTP access, you can work with the built in web interface. The tech support is great too. They are very helpful both pre-sale and post-sale. I would buy another one of these any day. And if my current NVR ever dies, I would buy one of the Reolink units. I can only imagine the quality on their NVR would be as top shelf as the camera is. UPDATE 2025-11-20: I have replaced all my other cameras with Reolink cameras and upgraded my NVR to one from Reolink. I am extremely happy with the quality of these products. Also, after talking to tech support about the one camera that was damaged by rain seeping into connector, they replaced it under warranty. I didn't expect that to be covered but it was and they were very helpful. They said that "shouldn't" happen, but it does and that could be because we are on the coast and the damp salt air works its way past the fittings. So we are still keeping our connectors 100% out of the weather now. The cameras in the weather are going just fine.
