they're only a mite smaller than the current switch joycon and the buttons themselves are bigger than the joycon's making them comfortable to use
Being over 30, this little jewel of a system brought back the retro game nostalgia (and then some) with the added bonus of being HD. It has all the old favorites (and if you know how to, you can add more) plus a few Japanese exclusives we've never played before. This system is an absolute treasure. For those who are griping about the controller size, they're only a mite smaller than the current switch joycon and the buttons themselves are bigger than the joycon's making them comfortable to use. Pros: Famicom design Two controllers Great games Cons: A bit small Learning curve to turn on (Switch on AND press reset) System is in Japanese (though most games aren't text heavy, so It's not a huge problem.) Again, if you know what you're doing, you can easily change the language of the system.

My first Video Game Console.
When I saw this product online, I knew it would be worth it. The Nintendo Family Computer was the first video game console I had when I was a child. Many good memories, playing with my dad and sister. I have to say that the product met my expectations, arrived sooner than it was supposed to and was really new. The games are very nice and even when most of them are in Japanese, some others are in English. One of the cool features, is that it comes with two controllers, so you don't have to buy extras, just turn it on and start playing and having fun. Also, the size of the controllers is not a problem, you get use to it quickly. I recommend this product. I am 100% satisfied with the purchase.

Pure nostalgia without the cost of paying collector prices
I love this item, absolutely stunning to look at and play. Games look and play as they should, all except for Zelda since the microphone on controller 2 is all for show on this model. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nostalgia fix, and even though the controllers are smaller it hasn't made any difference in my ability to play and enjoy the games. Obviously everything is in Japanese, not a huge problem for me out of the box and I hear there are ways to install English language menu translation; but if you're going to go that route just buy an NES-MINI instead. I especially appreciate titles like Castlevania using the Famicom-Disk System version, which really gives you the digital definitive version of those games. It hooks up with an HDMI cable and a single USB cable for power. Controllers are built-in to the console, just like the original, and it even has the controller holders on the side of the console. Best value is that you don't have to hunt down all the good games, cause they come on the console; this is great for anyone who wants the nostalgia, but doesn't want to pay collector prices.

A must buy
The Famicom mini classic is a neat little device packed full of fun. Some may dislike the tiny Famicom controllers but I think it's adds to the aesthetic of owning a shrunken classic console. This is a must have for any collector! Game list includes: Donkey Kong Pac-Man Excitebike Balloon Fight Ice Climber Galaga Yie Ar Kung-Fu Super Mario Bros. The Legend of Zelda Atlantis no Nazo Gradius Makai Village (Ghosts n' Goblins in the US) Solomon's Key Metroid Castlevania Adventure of Link Bumping Sumo Super Mario Bros. 3 Ninja Gaiden Mega Man 2 River City Ransom Double Dragon Ⅱ The Revenge Super Tamashito Luo (Super C in the US) Final Fantasy Ⅲ Dr. Mario Downtown Nekketsu March Soreyuke Mario Open Golf Super Mario USA (Super Mario Bros. 2 in the US) Kirby's Adventure

Awesome, but the controller cables are crazy short
I bought this as a somewhat cost-friendly alternative to the elusive NES Classic. The menus and game dialogue are in Japanese, but I've been able to navigate my way though the menus and games with virtually no problems. You don't need to know a word of a Japanese to use this console (I don't). The console itself is built really well, and it looks amazing. The controllers themselves are a bit small, but they're very responsive and really not that bad to use. The games are fun, and the fact that I got 30 games for $90 means that I only paid $3 per game, which isn't bad at all. I love this console, but there is one flaw I just cannot overlook: the controller cables. Before I bought the Famicom Mini, I heard that the cables were short, but I didn't realize just how short until I unboxed the system. Holy crap! I seriously wonder what Nintendo was thinking when they designed the cable to be literally three feet long. The controller cables should seriously be twice as long, but since the controllers are hard-wired into the console, you can't simply replace them. It's a real shame that Nintendo let something so trivial get in the way of an amazing system. I'm seriously thinking of buying a really long HDMI cable, just so that I don't have to play three feet away from my TV. Until some genius is able to figure out how to hook up HDMI outputs wirelessly, I'm going to have to take a star off an otherwise 5-star console.

ふと昔のファミコンゲームがしたくなり購入。昔みたいな接続もUSB端子で接続出来ます。 ゲームのセーブも好きな所で何時でもできるので昔全クリア出来なかったソフトも最後まで楽しめて良かったです。

The Famicom Mini is awesome, has a unique design to it, the controllers are absolutely tiny and plays very well on a PAL tv, the hookup to the console is very simple with just a HDMI cable and a USB cable for power just bare in mind that you will need to provide your own charger for the USB cable. Overall great console to have and would recommend it!

Love this Japanese original replication Red White console 紅白機! After 30 years, I finally able to have one and cane with all the most popular Japanese Nintendo games !!!!! Omg, can't stop playing it. If you are a hard core Nintendo super fan, you can't miss this one! Also, the vendor ship it immediately and I received the product way before the expected time !!!!! Can't go wrong! Love it!
