BEST PEN EVER!!!!
So I bought the 4-Colored .77mm Fine point BIC pen and the Zebra B4SA1. I bought both because I read on Amazon (based on customer comments) that both pens worked wonderfully. As a science major and long-time old school note taker (non-typist), professors put so much info in their lectures that when I only use one color my eyes can miss crucial info, especially when professors zoom through the lectures so fast that my notes look so messy!I highly recommend this pen because compared to the BIC the Zebra has EVERYTHING you need when you need/want to take organized notes.B0006SVBNQ <-- BICZebra VS BIC[COLORS]Zebra: black, red, blue, green, and whaaaaat?! gray (jk, pencil lead, lol)BIC: black, red blue, and green[GRIP COMFORT]Zebra: When I first looked at the picture, I thought I would have a difficult time writing with the pen width being fatter than the BIC (since it also comes with a mechanical pencil). NOT AT ALL! This pen is plastic made but the gripping area has a gray cushion that helps writing feel super comfortable for your wrist. I have sweaty palms so the cushion totally sold me! The type of ball-point tip is so smooth that you don't have to grip so hard unto the pen when writing.BIC: The BIC has no cushion on the grip and the whole pen is plastic orange. It's nice but with sweaty palms my hand slips when I write, so I have to grip harder. =([COLOR TRANSITIONING]Zebra: two word.... ZEBRA FAST! You can use your index finger to transition to a different color so smoothly.BIC: Gotta use your thumb..so takes a bit more time transitioning between colors.*They are both ball point pens.-----------------------------------------------Overall in my opinion zebra is my ideal pen for note taking. Yeah, I sound crazy being meticulous about these pens but hey this product made me a happy college student. ^___^

Amazing pen that has increased my workflow!!
I bring a Moleskine notebook with me everywhere I go to take notes, jot down ideas or to make designs and sketches. The biggest problem I was running into was that often times when I was doodling or wanted to write things that could be erased, I would have to search franticly for a pencil since most of the time I was using a pen.I started looking for an option that had both a pen and a pencil that could be swapped out instantaneously. When I found this pen I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did it have the pencil function i needed, but it also had a black, green, and blue pen to go along with it! I didn't imagine this pen could actually hold up or function well though with my past experience with multifunctional pens.I gave it a shot though and I can safely say this was the best purchase I have made in a long time! It is so convenient and I feel like I've been a lot more productive in my note taking since I get to use multiple colors to highlight different notes which makes it stand out more.Overall really highly recommend this pen to anyone who may ever need a pen and pencil at the same time!

Love the functionality, ink however...
Loved the functionality of this pen! Really handy for taking color-coded notes in class when you don't want to pull out multiple pens- it definitely saves desk space and time when note taking. Switching between the pens/pencil is smooth; I haven't come across any issues with the pens being "stuck" when trying to switch between them. Also, the ink itself writes very smooth. I've had this pen for almost a year now and the biggest con for me AFTER the first or second month of using it extensively (in all of my college classes) was that the ink in all the pens would "skip". It almost seems as if the ink runs out fairly quick in these pens or the ink "dries" out. Overall, it's a very well-designed pen, however, If you plan on extensively writing with this pen, it might not last as long and its probably best to have a backup along.

The best pen ever
I just recovered from a pen phase where I bought fountain pens, multiple inks, and various highlighters to increase my efficiency as a college student. I have to say that this pen is THE BEST pen in terms of function and convenience. It has 4 fine tip colors to color code and fulfills the job of a highlighter. The best part is that this is the only pen I know of that includes a mechanical pencil tip, perfect for writing things that should not be permanent (like chemistry mechanisms!).Quality - Standard plastic body that is decent enough. There is a grip that makes long-term writing much easier and less sweaty. The shining star of this pen is the pull-down mechanism that is much more smooth and easy than similar multicolored pens (BIC). A must buy if you are a student or need lots of colors without having to carry multiple pens.

Bye Bye Bic
I've been a Bic multi-function pen guy for years. I'm in the creative field and I was looking for something a little more modern and the addition of a pencil makes this pen perfect. Well worth the extra $ as an upgrade unless you are prone to losing pens... It functions smoothly and if I gave any negative it would be that the clip is a little hard to open so slipping it in a pocket requires you to open the clip a little (completely a non-issue, really). Colors are great. Pencil led is a good all-around size. The pencil functions as a traditional mechanical pencil - press down on the clip to advance the lead, press further to allow adjustment of the lead length. Eraser is in the top cap. BTW - DON'T lose the eraser cap*... It stays on securely but I could see losing it, leaving a (gasp) exposed eraser. *or simply never change your mind or make a mistake.
