I bought this cable for using on my new MacBook Pro with my Canon camera. The cable does not work as I plugged it in Lightroom does not work with my new MacBook Pro 2016 didn't recognise the camera so I then plug in the USB a cable that came with the camera and it worked first time. Whether this is a problem with my macbook pro as it uses The new technology of second-generation USB C ports or weather the cable is faulty I'm not certain. But it's not worth the hassle to send it back
