Almost as cool as the concrete slab but substantially more comfortable for our German Shepherds
23-May-23 UPDATE: This will be the final update for this product. All four beds are still 100% functional. We've had some frayed edges develop after numerous washings but nothing that prevents the use of these beds. Our dogs have grown slightly in size and still like to wrestle or run across their beds so these beds have certainly seen some use that results in wear. Six months and four beds later, we are very happy with these and will purchase more when these eventually fail. And failure isn't a mark of poor quality! Filled beds need to be refreshed, renewed, and replaced too, just like a platform bed. These are consumable items and these beds were well-worth the cost given how much comfort they have provided and use they have endured.23-Feb-27 UPDATE: All four beds are still in service with our dogs and going strong. No tears, no frayed edges despite numerous washings, no broken pieces. Our dogs still love their beds and use them daily/nightly. We have figured out a better way to reassemble the beds after washing though. We assemble the frame completely but leave the velcro undone. Brace the two corners of the frame with feet then stretch and pull the bed as tight as possible before folding over the frame. This results in a much tighter fit and less sag.22-Nov-29 UPDATE: The first two beds we purchased were moved to a different part of the house while we waited for the second set. The second set was built and replaced the originals in the basement. I literally had my dogs sitting, waiting for me to complete assembling their beds. As soon as one was built, the male took it which was surprising given he is not the dominant one of the pair. The female continued to wait while I assembled the second bed, followed me as I was placing it and hopped on it literally as I was setting it down. I'd say it's safe to say that my two dogs love their beds. In the picture, the male is on the left.ORIGINAL REVIEW:We have a pair of German Shepherds. At the time of this writing, they have had these beds for about a week and are 11 months old. The larger of the two is a 110 pound male and relatively long while the smaller is an 80 pound female. This review is primarily about the male's experience with the bed as the female is not nearly as selective about where she sleeps.Despite daily grooming and the basement being kept at 68 degrees, he prefers to lay directly on the concrete slab rather than any bed or softer surface we have tried to offer him. Our best guess is the slab is the only surface that is able to wick away his body heat and keep him comfortable. That is, until we bought him the largest model of this bed and paired it with a fan. He immediately laid down on his bed and stretched out along the diagonal. His paws dangle off the edge ever so slightly but he doesn't seem to mind. He frequently brings an elk antler or chunk of yak cheese to his bed to gnaw on it while laying down. During one of the first sessions on the bed, he discovered the raised manufacturer's mark and gave it a few probing attempts but it didn't yield and he hasn't tried to remove it again. I did see the female give the mark a couple swipes with her paw but no other attempts than that. The bed is very easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning and portability. Both of our dogs enjoy their chews in their respective beds so the ability to clean it is important. As far as durability goes, our two have rough-housed on their beds without breaking anything. Their combined weight is close to 200 pounds however these beds are rated for 300 pounds and showed no signs of buckling under them. We have been pleased enough with these beds to order a second pair of them for another spot in the house.

Top knotch customer service and product!
Originally I ordered the large pet cot in the camo color. The cover did not come with the velcro end to adjist the cover's tightness. I contacted K&H customer service and received a response within 24 hours. They sent me the brown cover without any questions except where to send it. I received the covers a few days later. The replacement fit perfectly and had the velcro end to adjust the cover tightness. Very satisfied with my purchase and I would definately recomend K&H products to everyone.

Dog Loves It
My dog loves this bed. She is 7 years old and weighs 80 lbs. She has a fluffy bed but was stiff getting up from it. I got this bed for two reasons. One for her comfort and another for her behavior. She has a habit of climbing on the couch and I hoped this would change that. It has helped a lot with her comfort and a little with her behavior. :-) I recommend a raised bed if you have a big, heavy dog.

Sturdy and easy to assemble
I purchased the large for our 6 month old Labrador and its perfect. It took me 2 minutes to put together and it’s very sturdy. We use it inside for her “place” but now she enjoys it to just lay on with her toys.

Can be a little noisy but dog loves it
Recommend watching the video review on assembly to make your life easier!Dog trainer recommended this to train “place” command. The dog loves it. He hangs out on it on his own, and knows “place.”When the dog gets fidgety this this groans quite a bit. If I’m dozing off and the dog is anxious there is no sleeping until he stops moving around. I still recommend despite the noise.

Customer Service is the BEST!!
We have a black lab that just finished obedience classes and they used an elevated bed. After reading reviews and trying to figure a good bed in a good price range, we decided on the K & H Cooling Raised Dog Bed. Shipping was super fast. When we got it, one leg would fall out anytime you lifted the bed to move it or rearrange it, etc. I contact K & H's customer service via their website and within a few days Rita (K & H customer service rep) had replacement parts sent out to me. K & H truly stands behind their products and if I ever need any other dog bed I will definitely shop there first based on my 1st experience with them - excellent!!

Got the medium so his bed would fit.
ZIGGY loves his elevated bed. Inside we add a soft bed and when we take it outside he relaxes on the elevated bed to keep cool. He likes it and it’s better for him!!!

I love it, my dog…
Saw this raised dog bed on TikTok & after reading the reviews I ordered one. The quality of the framing is decent, the mesh/bed part is very soft & comfortable. My 68lb dog loves to lay out in the sun like a baked potato & I figured he would like something comfortable to lay on… guess not, lol. But regardless of his desire to use the bed, I would definitely recommend it!

Durable, Easy to assemble, Cozy
We haven’t had it for too long. She was hesitant to use it without her floor bed but after I put it on top of the K&H elevated bed she loved it. It’s strong, durable and fits well where I need it to. Easy to assemble.

Fantastic if you can get your dog to use it
5 star because it meets all the criteria, Only draw back for me is to get my dogs to use it.

Sturdy and Easy to Maintain
The cot is easy to assemble / disassemble to clean the fabric bed. My Pyr/Lab weighs about 53kg and the cot can hold her weight when she is on it. I should note that she is a rescue dog and whoever had her before must have trained her to stay off furniture as she is hesitant to consistently use it since the cot is raised off the floor. She is not a 'chewer' so I can't comment on the durability if your dog chews on bedding. Either way, this cot should us last a long time.

Great product!
Read the warning on the packaging. It tells you the canvas is tight and you need to press down on it to loosen it enough so all 4 legs can touch the ground. It’s true! Once you do this, it’s absolutely perfect! Love this bed for my senior pug!

70lb arthritic shepherd dog loves it
Five stars.Less than 10 min to assemble. Sturdy. Well-designed, well-made. Cushioned feet don't scratch the floor. This model is less expensive than the one with the two-toned mesh but I don't see the difference. No difference at all if you're going to use a pad or blanket on it. I'm using a pool noodle as a bolster and it works great. For us, the only downside is that the edges are slightly raised, because it's a cot. My dog likes to sleep with his chin on the edge of his bed. We've solved the potential discomfort of that by softening that rise with a folded towel or blanket edge. Easy.Cot does double duty as a step stool for getting onto the human bed!
