Use this for another job than that stated. WE have to remove sanitary ware or shower doors which have been siliconed to tiles and this is a life saver. Gone are the long blade stanley knife. Use one of these and you can simply slide the wire behind and remove whatever without bringing the tiles off with it. Great kit for every customer care and multitrade

Did exactly what I wanted it to do which was to remove some body trim on the side of my car without damaging them.

I purchased this to remove a van side window that I had installed badly and leaked. Having read some reviews I expected little from it - but they worked fine. The handles are strong enough and reasonably comfortable to use. Neither of the cutting wires are particularly sharp to the hand; the kit came with a thin wire and some thicker wire that seems to be an addition to the original kit. I went straight for the thicker wire having read that the thinner one snaps easily. We removed the window, myself on one side, partner on the other, sawing through the sealant whilst being careful to keep the wire against the glass rather than the paintwork as much as possible. It made easy enough work of it - as I said, not very sharp, and I expect the professionals have something much sharper - but the sawing action produced enough cutting power (and some heat/abrasion I think) to get through it pretty quickly. I only ended up using perhaps a single 50cm piece of cutting wire so this kit is enough to get me through more van windows than I will ever have to install!

Not taken a windscreen out before but decided to try while rebuilding a truck and really surprised how easy it was, definately glad for help to do it you probably can do on your own but I benefited from my partner helping me and it wasnt that bad of a job really. Was worried these were cheap but Im really happy I got them and there is enough wire for a lifetime

I used this item to remove the rear side glass from a R56 mini. Took a while and had to replace the wire once as the first once snapped. It worked well and did the job I needed to do and I have plenty of wire left for other jobs.

During renovations, I encountered a challenge while attempting to remove a sizable mirror from a wardrobe door. Despite trying various methods, including fisherman wire and a guitar string, I found no success. However, after stumbling upon a TikTok video suggesting the use of windshield wire, I decided to give it a try. To my amazement, it proved incredibly effective, effortlessly separating the door and mirror in less than a minute.

Het zagen gaat, maar wel traag en met veel kracht. Best doen als het niet te koud is ( boven de 15 graden ), dan is die silicone wat zachter. Voor 1 ruit gebruikte ik 1 stuk draad van ongeveer 75 cm. Het geheel blijft goed samen ( hendels en staaldraad). Dit gereedschap is het beste als je de ruit heel wil laten en dus hergebruiken.
