I bought this shaver for my 86 year old dad. He absolutely loves it! he said it shaves smoothly and very close. He would definitely recommend this outstanding product.

I've been using electric razors for 20-30 years and settled on Remingtons for the last 10 or so. I liked the Remington except that the trimimer function is pretty useless for me. When the battery died after about a year I decided to try something else and I purchased the JTrim.Here's what I like:- It is very quiet- The detachable head feature is a great idea enabling a good trimmer- When you get used to it, it shaves well- The charging stand- Ease of cleaningI am not crazy about the continual charging when plugged in. The charging light, by design, does not go out and the razor stays warm indicating the charge never stops. I use the charging stand, but do not connect electrically all the time. Of course the battery life is unknown.

It worked for 7 month and battery not charging and it is not working with live current. I wasted my money on it.

The heads supplied are real low quality and dull. Pulls quite a bit. Need to get replacement heads.

So, it's definitely a budget shaver. But, it's also definitely the same thing you'd get with a far more expensive product with Philips brand name on it. Plus, you get a nice charging cradle with (these days) it seems no one will get you for any less than $150.The drawbacks are the battery and the motor. I wouldn't expect to be able to take this on a weekend trip without packing the AC. Now, I haven't confirmed that, but just in an extended shave, there is apparent power loss. A for the motor, if you're used to more expensive devices, you might be wondering how it's going to work when you first use it.All that being said, this isn't a negative review. Amazingly, this thing works quite well. Almost as if the lower power is what I really needed all along for a better shave, rather than some high-speed, skin-skipping power drill.It's a great value for its price, the head fans out for easy cleaning, and if it dies in a year, buying another at this most price is not much more than buying a new blade head for any major brand.

I've tried expensive razors in the past, and decided to try this brand, which is a lower cost ... not a good choice , this razor does not give a close shave .. it's too bad i can't return it .. because i would ....
