So far, can dispense pellets of different sizes
This replaces a much older Eheim automatic feeder that stopped working when insects climbed in and gummed up the inner workings to destroy the fan and tumbler.Feeder holds a LOT of food! I am using it for a 75 gallon tank of mostly goldfish, 3 of which are 2.5” long while the 5 others are between 8” and 11”, plus 4 Corydoras catfish and a Plecostomus. I needed to enlarge the portal for the food drop, by trimming the plastic strip that fits on the glass lid. I chose the battery powered version rather than rechargeable or plug in versions. The sliding adjuster for the opening that dispenses the food, is a bit stiff. When refilled, you must try several food drops away from your tank, preferably on a piece of paper, so you can see just how much food is dispensed in a drop! Don’t just refill and reattach to your tank, or you could have an overfeeding or underfeeding catastrophe in the making.I use the 1 feeding/24 hours cycle in my tank. When I refill the food container, I carefully determine how wide the opening slide needs to be for dispensing the proper amount of food based on pellet size, and test it manually several times. This means putting the test food back in to either the original container, or use the paper to put all of it back through the slot (I haven’t been successful at removing the whole slot portal yet, so this takes time). The 24 hour timer seems to reset itself if you use the manual setting to figure out how much food is dispensed, so my workaround is to take out 1 battery, the replace it - and the next day at the desired feeding time, restart the 24 hour timer. A little cumbersome, but it works for me.My Plecostomus gets fed wafers separately; they wouldn’t fit in this feeder. I can’t imagine using flakes or crisps, based on the feeding portal size. To date, I have not had the hole cover get gummed up by food sticking to it, as reported by other users. I also haven’t used it long enough to know how long the batteries last.

Works great
I went out of town and needed this to feed my fish. It works well and is easy to use. Comes with instructions so it’s hard to mess up. It also easy to attach to your fish tank , it’s a good value for the money.

Good but over feeds
This Product works and can feed your fish while you are away. BUT THE AMOUNT OF FOOD! It’s unbelievable. It put enough food for my fish that I give them in a few days. I even adjusted the amount and it still gave to much.

Affordable/highly adjustable/effective
Works great for wide variety of fish food (tested on sinking gold fish food and tetra flakes, slightly crumbled). Adjust the dispenser’s discharge gap, install, forget and enjoy your trip!

Works ok
I got this to feed my betta while on vacation. It dispenses food which is great. However the betta food is so small that way too much food is despensed each rotation, even on the smallest opening size. ...luckily my betta does not over eat, but it is a waist of food...I will use again on my next vacation. As it did feed my fish
