SharkBite U3008LFA Slip Coupling, 1/2-Inch x 1/2-Inch

It was easy. No leaks two years later.

used this to repair an outside tap pipe that split in the winter (forgot to shut water off and drain pipes) used a hack saw to cut the bad pipe out, wasn't the straightest cut... but no leaks! tools used were a hack saw, 120 grit sand paper and a 3/4" counter sink to clean up the pipe ends. I was able to slide the coupler onto the pipes fairly easily, starting with the slip end. It went together nice and I made sure to mark the copper pipe 1" from cut so I had the minimum proper insert depth. this has the shark logo cast into the piece, this is a true sharkbite product

Good product. Made the repair but was awkward to use in a tight space.

A bit difficult to install, but once installed works great.

Had a very tough time with installation, would not slip over pipe more than 1/2 inch and then would not release. Finally was able to remove it and found a white plastic anti-theft tag stuck inside. After removing the tag installation was great. Be sure to check inside the tube before installing.
