Disclaimer: I don't rate my purchases very often... only when the items are truly great do I chime in!!!I manage several properties that have over 500 sprinkler heads in total. Recently I found that many of the stations were having grass problems because many of the heads had been overgrown by the turf canopy. Raising them would've been very difficult had I not found this tool... Instead of digging a huge hole to get down to the sprinkler head... I just use this to punch out a perfect amount of turf and ground with this tool! It makes it easy to get right down to the head and add extension risers.On a trial run this morning, I was able to raise 4 heads in 20 minutes by myself.I am extremely pleased with this invention!TO THOSE WHO ARE/HAVE PURCHASED THIS TOOL: listen to me and the other reviewers who say not to twist the tool. It's unnecessary and could cause the breakages written about in other reviews - because of hard grounds, etc. All I do is punch down around the sprinkler head one time (hard), rotate 90 degrees on the same spot, and punch down again. You'll see why this makes sense when you get the product. For an absolute 360 degree cut around the head - you may also opt to make another 45 degree turn and punch after the second punch... for a truly easy to remove hole.

Works okay but if you have St. Augustine grass, it is very difficult to cut around. St. Augustine grass, if properly mowed, is 4 inches in height. The trimmer barely gets deep enough to properly cut around the sprinkler heads.

If you have a lawn with numerous sprinkler heads, you know what a pain it is to locate them once the grass grows around them. Up until now, I've done what most homeowners do: Turn them on to find them, and use a weed trimmer to clear the grass around the sprinkler head. The problem then is that you risk damaging the nozzle or killing the grass around the head making more of a mess. Henry at Pro Lawn Products installed my current sprinkler system so when I heard he invented a tool designed too easily and perfectly trim just the grass around sprinkler heads, I thought "ok... let me give this a shot". SO glad I did because you simply center the SprinklerShark over the nozzle, press down, and you get a perfectly trimmed sprinkler head. It's worth every penny and is now one of my favorite yard tools! They even include a set of lawn flags so you can make where your heads are first. Ordered and arrived in 24 hours! Great work Pro Lawn!

A couple images would offer any potential customers to think it twice. The product was shipped directly from manufacturer. The broken connection demonstrates the rusty soldering. Be prepared what to do if it happens to you. :(

Love this thing, works great! As long as you don't twist and turn to torque the head, you shouldn't see the welding break. I assume that's what the other reviewer did.

Nice product. The hole should have been a quarter inch bigger.

Works well--seems pricey but does the job.
