The little screw-in nuts got in the way of a couple of connections I needed to make. Ideally you're connecting cable to cable, but in the event that you need to connect the gender changer to a device directly that already has the nuts sticking out of the port, these may not fit because you may end up with two female nuts against one another, preventing a good fit. In a pinch you can remove them (and the tin housing falls off), but you can then temporarily make a connection in an emergency. Not ideal. The connectors for cable-to-cable are probably perfect, but if you need to connect one of these directly to a device, you may want to do some homework.

Not a lot of selling points here. It does exactly what you think it does. Nothing more, nothing less.

Gender changers for RS-232, because you never really know what you'll need.

While most things have gone USB these days, I still use DB25 cables in the fireworks industry. While I try to use a single cable, there are time I need a little extra length and these gender changers allow me to connect two cables end to end. They are very simple, but useful adapters to carry. I never know when I’ll need them, but having these in my go box is a great insurance policy against the unknown.
