Way better than the alternative option from ram mounts. They have this one and another that's a couple dollars cheaper. The difference is that the ball on this one is solid; the other is hollow and squishes when force is applied. If you're trying to rig some rigid set-up with any strength or durability needed, you'll want the rigid ball.The hollow ball is a perfect option for low weight/light duty use application wherein you don't necessarily need to "crank" or really tighten your extension arms down on the ram mount balls.
