Cool little wind meter with a couple added features
Great little wind meter seems to work perfect. I also like that it has a ambient temperature reading as well. Added bonus it does have a spot to attach a tripod on the bottom. Not too expensive seems to be pretty accurate.

Smartphone App Open to Record Anemometer Data
Product will only record data when a green light inside the anemometer device is lit and the smartphone app is also open. Anemometer does work without the phone, yet shows data only at time of measurement. Settings within the app are more extensive than those on the anemometer's LCD display. The display does stop working at 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Curiously this unit (866B-APP), while not advertised as such, does have the capability to allow the user to view the data by connecting to a computer using the supplied USB cord by fitting the micro USB end into the back side of the anemometer. The base of the anemometer may be attached to a tripod or to the included handstrap, but not both (handstrap and tripod) simultaneously. The unit is bulky for handheld use and the grip is not easy to hold as buttons are sensitive. Included case is helpful.

Great Anemometer!!!
Excellent Anemometer. We offer these to our outstanding Crane student as an incentive to excel. The Anemometer works perfectly for our industry and is a great tool for crane operators to have. Highly recommended as every one we have used works flawlessly!!!

Purchased New, But Sent Defective Used Anemometer
The manufacturer's box was partially ripped and had been clearly opened before. The anemometer had been ripped out of the plastic packaging. The meter itself was extremely inaccurate in measuring air velocity. The blades could be turning at 4 RPM, and it would show 75 ft/min. Simply junk. Let's see if the next one functions properly.

It does work, but…
For the price it’s a good meter. My issue was that the Bluetooth signal doesn’t transmit very far. The best I could get is the room next to the meter.

Easy to use
I use this to know wind speed when I fly my RC Airplanes. It is easy to use and gives me the info at the location I am at rather than relying on weather apps that get there info from some other location than where I'm flying.
