This printer is excellent, makes great black ink / color ink copies. Printer is attractive, sturdy, a little heavy in weight like a printer would be. This is an "office" printer, for anyone thinking this is a lightweight, bedroom printer.......NO, this is an office printer. Set-up was a little adventurous, because it's not really detailed how to load the paper in front and so we searched for a Youtube video and found one. At that point, it was as smooth as glass. Note: you have to have the printer turned on, in order to go through the step-by-step instructions for set-up. PRINTER DOES NOT COME WITH PAPER. Make sure you buy paper if you don't have some. We bought HP paper on Amazon. Printer comes with one black ink cartridge, and one color ink cartridge. Make sure you read the RED & WHITE colored flyer that says SETUP INSTRUCTIONS. From that point, you can either connect the printer directly to your computer (if you have the correct jack), or you can download the app and print from there (we had to download the app). Make sure you SAVE the printer to your DEVICES on your computer. We're not trying to give instructions, insulting people for not knowing these things. On the contrary, we're not "tech-y" people here in this house, and so we had to figure out all these things that tech-y people would think is just automatically known. We're very happy with this purchase. Thank you Amazon, for selling this printer. It was also better-priced and with faster shipping than other stores we checked out online.

I bought this all-in-one printer/scanner/fax because I wanted to feel like I worked in a high-powered office instead of my living room, surrounded by snacks and cats. Mission accomplished.It prints things. Gloriously. Like, paper goes in blank and comes out with words on it. Magic. The scanner? Let’s just say it captured a picture of my cat mid-sneeze with stunning clarity. The fax… well, I haven’t used a fax machine since the Bush administration, but I pressed buttons and it beeped and hissed like it was summoning demons, so I’m calling that a success.Setup was easy, which made me suspicious, because nothing involving printers ever is. But no, it actually connected to Wi-Fi without requiring a human sacrifice. I even printed from my phone like I live in the future.Would I marry this printer? No. But would I let it babysit my kids? Probably.10/10. Would buy again if it ever goes rogue and starts demanding tribute.

Originally I wanted to leave canon due to my previous printers. Yes 3 of them of the same model, all bad. Decided I’d go back to hp who was my go to for a long time. Nope, came back to this canon and so far I’m liking it. It was a breeze to set up. I had the app already. Just hit add new printer and the rest was so simple. It asks your wireless password and you’re pretty much done. I love have all the features, a couple functions include scanning and faxing(which I have not tried) as two I would use the most. I didn’t play around with the color too much but a small photo and it looked great. I had about 60 pages or more to print out in b/w and they were nice and bold even in draft mode. These initial cartridges must not have much ink in them as I started to get the low ink warning. I only got this printer maybe 7 hours ago and I’m about out. Hoping when I get a new xl or xxl it will last long like my other canons. This printer is like a tank compared to my other inkjet. The cartridge holders were sturdy. All the doors and flaps open and close real nice. Right now I recommend this highly.

The printer works great. I didn't even have to align the print heads like with older models, did it automatically.The only problem I had was trying to figure out why the drivers and software on my Win 11 OS wouldn't install after downloading them from Canon's website. My computer kept telling me the software wasn't downloaded from Microsoft so it wouldn't install. I had to go to settings, select Advanced Apps Settings then select Choose Where To Get Apps and then select Anywhere before the drivers would install. After that it installed the drivers in just a few minutes after I clicked the downloaded file. Great value for the money.

I bought this Canon to replace my old Brother printer. So far, I'm very pleased. The setup was very easy; I simply plugged it in, from my laptop I went to the site referenced in the instructions, and then clicked "next" about three times. I didn't have to enter any passwords; the printer found my laptop and connected automatically. I don't see how it could be any easier. The Canon prints sharper images than the Brother did, and loading the paper is much easier, too. No tray to remove, just put paper in the tray. Multi-page prints are printed so that when the printing is complete, the first page is on top of the stack; that's convenient. The only thing that the Brother was better at is sound - the Canon is a bit louder when it is printing. But all in all, this printer is a good value.
