Really simple to use, liked the shielded connectors better than the standard clear ones, the tester was nice very simple plug it in on each end all the lights are green you're good to go,other than that I'm more than happy.

Everything else that comes included is a nice extra touch and the tool itself works great!

I liked the pass though style connectors and tool. I had never used this style, but it worked great. The kit came with everything you need to makeup a test ethernet cables. The tester was very easy to use and saved me from a connector I wired wrong. I really like the way it trims the excess wire from the connector. This kit makes RJ45 cables easy.

This is the first time I ever tried to repair cat 5/6 cables so I had bit of a learning curve but I got it to work and now I have a bunch of good patch cables.

This pass through design really does make it easier to get the conductors all the way in and make sure they are in the right order. It's great. I did find one way to make a mistake, and I'm posting this review in case it will help someone else. If you try to use cat 6 terminators with cat 5 cables, you can get it to crimp, but it will feel a bit loose, and it will not work. The conductors will not seat and will not make a connection. This was incredibly frustrating to me until I figured out what's going on. Cat5 conductors are slightly thinner than cat6 and so they simply cannot be used together.If you don't make this mistake, this system works great! Use cat 5 terminator with cat 5 cable and use cat 6 terminator with cat 6 cable

I purchased this to build a 250 foot PoE cable. The trenching job took a few months, so I didn’t get to use it until my Amazon return period had long expired. The connector stripper, crimper, etc worked well, but I had two open circuits when I tested the cable with the included cable tester. I replaced the ends and had the same issue, so I tested a couple of known good purchased cables and had the same reading. I contacted PTech and they sent me a new cable tester very quickly. I really appreciated their customer service. I would definitely buy from them again. Lesson: It’s always a good idea to test a cable tester against a known good cable.

The feed-through connectors are SO much easier to use then the original type of connector and the tool works as it should.

Seems to work ok but there is a bit of a learning curve. No regrets.
