Great drone at price range!!! Had to return 1st one due to trim issues.
*********** UPDATED 01/24/18 ************I contacted the seller, USA Toyz, and they said it was a bad main board causing the issue with the trim. They promptly sent me a replacement drone. My son quickly put in batteries and started flying it in the house. WOW, what a difference. The new drone required very little trim adjustment. USA Toyz also sent a label to send back the original drone. We have not gone back outside to see if it flies better in the wind now that the trim issue has been resolved. Will update this again after the weather is nicer and we get a chance to go back outside. Now that the trim works my son is able to fly it around the house. The new brand of battery I found is working much better than the original and the first replacement battery we tried. Battery life for any of these types of toys is always an issue so I will not be adding that to the CONS section.CONS:NONE (Now that we have a working drone.)PROS:1) This drone offers great control. My son is able to fly it around the house. So far nothing has been broken.2) The drone came with replacement blades.3) The battery type is universal and it is easy to find larger mAh batteries that fit in the drone. Get a six pack with a USB charger.4) Camera is great for this level of drone. My son took an aerial photo of our property and it looks great. He has the VR headset and is able to fly around the house using the camera.5) Coolest looking controller for this level of drone.6) Drone body design is very slim.7) Drone is light weight which helps with battery life.I left my original review below so everyone can see the difference. Having a working drone is a night / day difference. If I decide to get my youngest son (7) a drone I would definitely buy this one again. Currently my 12 yr old son is using this drone. If your drone is not staying in one place while it is flying and you are not moving the joy sticks, then:1st - Try adjusting the trim. If you have the trim adjustment as far as it goes (all lights on controller lit up) then you may have an issue with the main board. Or you need to learn how to adjust the trim. It may take a while to figure out which trim switch is for which drone direction.2nd - Contact the seller about getting a replacement. Seems to be a common issue. Hopefully you bought the drone from USA Toyz.*******************************************************************************************************************ORIGINAL REVIEW:Please do your research when buying a drone as you can probably find one better than this one. My son has been asking for a drone for a long time and it was on his Christmas list this year. This drone has the same features as others and flew so I gave it 2 stars. Here is my opinion after a couple of weeks:CONS:1) Trying to get the trim set is impossible. It does not happen. We have attempted this in an empty shed and in the house where there is no wind. With the trim settings maxed out it still drifts considerably. Other reviewers have mentioned this as well and it is true.2) Trim settings reset when you change the battery. Spend half the battery life adjusting the trim to halve to do it all over again when replacing the battery.3) Flying outside with any amount of wind is also impossible. May due to not being able to set the trim correctly. Other reviewers have mentioned this as well and it is true.4) Battery life is horrible. The stock batteries do not last as long as indicated. I even purchased larger batteries and they barely lasted 10 minutes. Other reviewers have mentioned this as well and it is true.PROS:1) Remote looks cooler than other drones. We have had mini drones that cost a third of this one not need any trim adjustments right out of the box. Those also flew better in the wind than this one. Definitely not impressed with it.If we could figure out the trim issue it would be a great drone. Will continue to play with the trim settings and will update post again later. Each time the battery is replaced the trim settings reset. Would not be so bad, but the same trim settings do not normally work the next time. Have to reconfigure every time.I have ordered another brand of battery to see how they do.

MIA drone
So I bought this drone for my nephew and we finally got a chance to take it out to the park the other day. I loved the look of the drone and all the features that it shows, however I had some trouble with takeoff. As I understood it in the instructions the unit is supposed to take off about 4 feet off the ground and then hover but this is not what happened. The units propellers started and it seemed like the rear set were going faster than the front despite the control sticks being in the center. The result was the drone taking off at an angle and straight out of sight over a line of fences. I went door to door looking for the drone but have yet to find the unit. I will continue to look but for now I my have provided some families dog with a new $130 chew toy.*Update*This company shipped me a replacement for lost drone and has to be one of the best customer service companies I have even had the pleasure of dealing with. The only reason I cant give them a full 5 star rating is that even the replacement I received has a bit of wandering it does whenever I fly it around. I tried adjusting the trim but it was never enough to get it close to being balanced. Still for the cash the video quality was cool and the controls are the best I have used. Definitely worth ever cent I spent on it.

Great customer service
My kids putchased this drone from USA Toyz as a Christmas gift for me. There were some issues with the drone I initially received so I reached out to their customer service department via email. It took a little while for them to respond but that was do to the increased volume during the holiday season. I was going to rewrite my email but when I checked their site they posted that they were swamped but assured everyone that all inquiries would be answered. True to their word they got back to me. They not only rectified my issue but went above and beyond to satisfy me as a customer. A 5 star rating on customer service. Now to the drone itself. I didn't grow up playing video games. I'm a grandfather of 5 and and never got involved with anything "remotely" resembling a drone (pun intended). My kids got me this to keep me busy during the winter months. It took awhile for me to get the hang of flying this thing. If you are a novice like me practice in the house if you have the room. Use the headless mode for better orientation and stay with the slower speed initially. When you do venture outside be mindful of the wind. If you throttle with the wind it might keep going and be hard to buck it coming back. When you become more confident the higher speed will make it more responsive and help with slight wind issues. Be mindful of the control range, I think the stated 300' is a bit optimistic. If you are going to test that I would suggest an open field. Take it from one who had to throw my sneakers at the drone to dislodge it from tree branches. The video quality is good for the price point. What I found is it only takes 2 minute video clips. That's not an issue for me as it's not my main intent when flying it, it's a bonus. The bottom line is this is a lot of fun once you get used to it and stay within the limitations of the drone. Kids should have no problem flying it and novices like me can surely get used to it. Hope this helps.
