Bought this to add to my existing 3 sensors, a different model no longer available. As well as the normal temperature and humidity, this one also has date/time,vwhich I didn't need, but is useful enough. The device connected to Alexa via the SmartLife app, which is easy to set up. One minor grumble. Both this device and my previous ones record both temperature and humidity, and these can be read in the SmartLife app. But only the temperature is accessible to Alexa. This is not a fault of the device - I think the issue is with Alexa - but it is irritating anyway

I have it installed in an outbuilding Setup via WiFi, where it controls a heater, in order to keep things from getting too cold, the app is really good, the smart function enables me to activate between certain times for low cost electricity and to switch on if the temperature drops bellow a certain temp and back off once the required temperature is reached.

Spend like 10 minutes to get the app to detect the temperature sensor. After 3 or 4 tries i got that working. Tried to connect to smart things and it didn't work. The quality of the device looks good but i have some questions regarding the temperature. I put 2 other sensors that i have next to it. One from Xiaomi and the other from Samsung. My results: Samsung show 26.1C Xiaomi show 26.4C and 48% Humidity This device show 25.3C and 58% Humidity. Not really absurd values but still a difference here. Of course, i can understand some of them to measure in different ways. Is difficult to say the one that is 100% correct! In the Alexa integration also don't allow you to see the temperature. only show humidity as seen in the picture So my final opinion is that if you just want to have a device to show the temperature on your desk and also see in the app it will be ok. if you want to connect with other platforms... hum.. still not the best for that! Let's see with more updates!

I don’t normally buy things with only 3-4 reviews but this seemed to be what I wanted at a price I was willing to pay, and I’ve now bought two. In terms of set up, the instructions do seem to be slightly off as they refer to a flashing flight on the unit which I could not find. But, once I had downloaded the app and set it searching for new devices (which was easy, and covered in the instructions) all I had to do was press and hold the buttons on top of the unit until the WiFi indicator on the unit start cycling between low and high. After a few seconds of doing this it connected fine and is now stable. I have one in my garage office and one in my garage gym. Both seem to be working and I can see the temps from app when I’m in the house, no problem. I have no other thermometers against which to compare but the readings feel accurate based on the weather outside (no heating in the garage). The humidity also seems to be about right, but I’ve no idea if it is scientifically right. All in all, though, I’m very happy with this item and I’d recommend it. It does what I wanted, and the price is reasonable.

I didn't have mega high hopes for such a seemingly cheap item, but there are aspects of this device that are just poor. Firstly the good stuff: It's well built, the screen isn't too bad and the connection to WiFi appears strong. The way you can use the temperature and humidity to control other devices within the app is great. You can also get alerts if the temperature falls too much, for example. Now the not so good: By going on the app you cannot get an instant temperature reading. The most frequent you can select is every 5 minutes, but if you do this the batteries won't even last a week. Moving onto the subject of batteries, the remaining battery percentage is so innacurate. It alarmed at me and said 0% battery and yet continued to work for another 3 days! Running such a hungry device on three AAA cells is a mistake and surely an option for continued USB power wouldn't have been hard to fit in. The fact that the app comes preprogrammed to read the temperature and humidity every 2 hours says it all to me - they knew the battery life sucked but released the product anyway. I now have it reading every 15 minutes to preserve some juice. The accuracy seems okay but I haven't anything to fully disprove it and it's not a major issue for my usage. The integration into Google Home isn't all that's it's cracked up to be. I can add it as a device on there but without any useful features, only ask it what is the temperature or humidity. All of the clever stuff happens within the app, which is okay, no biggy. Overall would I buy it again? Not right now; I'd wait for a MK2 with USB power option.

Do not buy this product - batteries only last for two weeks and only works with Alexa with voice commands

I use this mainly to trigger my office heater when the temperature drops below a certain temperature during my working hours and its never failed me!

Good selection of features and reliable WiFi connectivity. Easy to set up. Good value for money.

Lots of functionality and it is easy to replace with rechargeable batteries. The smart WIFI is okay but who knows how secure it is.

My home is older and doesn't have central air. I heat with wood through most of the house , and use space heaters in the hard to reach rooms. I plug them into smart plugs , and then connect everything to alexa. Alexa monitors the temp in whatever room has a thermometer in it , and controls the space heaters according to the temperatures i want the rooms. It works well with my window a.c. units also. As with everything else smart , just watch your wifi settings. 2.4 only
