Fun camping kids toy
Know first-off, this is a toy and will not stand up to much abuse. That said, it's a fun little gadget to give a kid when you're camping. We went camping with a group of little ones, and I gave this away as a prize for a game. It was a huge hit with all of the kids, and my own kids have been begging for their own since. It feels "high tech" to them because of all the moving/folding parts. As long as you view this as a toy and not a serious piece of equipment, you'll be happy with the purchase.

Nostalgic
I used to have a multi-use binoculars like these when I was a kid, so when I saw these, I grabbed them. I have used the magnifying glass several times, the binoculars to observe suspicious characters sneaking around a neighboring house, and even got some more of these for my kids. In short, we have gotten a lot of use out of what is basically a cheap, children's toy.

A very plastic toy
The biggest problem with this toy is that it is, so to say, VERY plastic. It looks extremely fragile, and I expect the kids will break it up sooner or later (probably rather sooner than later). On the 2nd day one of the lenses fell off; I tried to glue it back, but was not careful enough, and touched the surface of the lens with glue. As the lens is also plastic, it damaged it irreversibly, so a binoculars turned into a monocular in that moment. The kids (3.5 years old) like thing thing though. They carry it everywhere. I think they like that it looks complicated, that you can open something, and then close something, turn it, look in it, etc. A good, albeit a rather short-living present.

Great little toy for my 8 yr old
he plays with it when we are camping and at home. I would use it anything other than that. Not for serious survival, but great practice for the kids (compass reading, fire starting with magnifying glass, etc.)

Exactly as advertised!!!
I had one of these as a child and it made for so many amazing moments growing up. The simplicity of carrying it in your pocket for quick and easy use allowed to feed my curiosity at a moments notice...This should be in everyone's survival pack for all the obvious reasons but more importantly the less obvious is that with the magnifier you are able to start a fire with numerous types of materials!!!

Fun tool
Got this as a fun exploring tool for my son, he absolutely loves it! Already takes it everywhere. Functionally, it works well overall except the compass of course which u really didn't expect to be that accurate anyway, but otherwise, for the price, really fun multifunction tool for kids - no idea how useful for adults but the binocular function seems to work well so probably decent for that at the least
