Used this Hormex #8 to root a heap of dragon fruit cuttings and had significant root growth on 27 out of 30 cutting in 2 weeks. Without rooting hormone I’d be lucky to get this amount of growth in 8 weeks. Got recommended Hormex #8 by a large scale dragonfruit grower and I’ll say he wasn’t wrong. Thought I’d give this a try on some Hoya cuttings that also generally take a while to root and I had roots pushing through in 3-5 days which was way above and beyond my wildest expectations. East to use, extremely happy with the results. Big fan of this #8. Rarely give 5 star reviews but I truly believe this product deserves the highest rating possible. This stuff is totally AMAZING! I’m SO HAPPY I FOUND IT! I honestly forget to leave reviews on most things that I buy but this stuff is so deserving of a review! I’m so blown away right now that I couldn’t wait to leave my review! Totally worth every penny and more and I will definitely be rushing back once I’m low on it! I’ve started using this product on the ever so hard to root ZZ plant! I’ve read and read how hard it is to root a ZZ stem and that’s it’s almost impossible/not even really worth trying to root the leaves and that it could take possibly a month or longer to root! Let me tell you, with this stuff, it takes less than a month!! I’ve tried another cheap rooting hormone powder and no, it won’t root the ZZ leaves and it WILL definitely take a month to root the stem, possibly longer! The ones I did root, the roots don’t even compare to the ones I’ve rooted in this stuff!!!! The pics are worth saying it all!!! I was so amazed and was jumping with joy, simply ecstatic that my 2 boys were like what the heck is going on with mom! No lie! The leaves are even growing freaking rhizomes!!!!! It’s definitely so easy to do! I stuck the fresh stems in the premixed water…simply mix water and the rooting hormone powder…I didn’t honestly measure any certain amount but if I had to approximate it, maybe 1/2 teaspoon or less in a cup of water and stir vigorously because it honestly does not mix well or at least it takes a minute to get it to mixed! I then put it in a warm and bright/indirect lighted window!! Then as far as the leaves, I soil propagated! I had a nursery pot filled with moistened soil (not soggy) then I created a crater. I sprinkled a little rooting hormone powder on the end if the moistened leave stem/petiole and also a little in the crater, then I simply push soil around the leave just deep to make it stand up! Stuck it in front of a warm window too and in roughly 2-3 weeks, I literally have roots and rhizomes forming!!!! Just amazing and stunning! I just cannot believe it and how stinking easy it was! Also, I cannot say enough about this product! If you’re thinking about trying it, GO FOR IT! This product is so UNBELIEVABLY AMAZING! There are honestly no words to explain how amazed and blown away I am!!! Hormex #3 rocks! I know it may sound like I have been paid to say all of this, but truly and honestly, I have not! I would say it over and over for absolutely nothing because of how amazing this stuff is! I will definitely be a repeat buyer! I honestly cannot wait to try to root other things with this product! I have never used this brand but tried it. Didn’t work If someone else did maybe it was my own error. But I usually use another rooting powder and it works great!

This stuff really works, and works really great! My dad used to use this stuff and I thought he had lost his mind when he showed it to me. I could never remember if it worked or not, and he's no longer with us so I wanted to try it out when I came across it on here. Well I'll be go to hell if it doesn't work Jack!! Really incredible how you can cut off a part of a plant and have it growing roots in no time! By the way, get the B1 hormone complex to go with it, treat the mother plant a week in advance and it'll work even better. I can only assume that treating the mother plant preps the new growth with a good base stem ready to soak up some good water. I've learned it's best to do this little project in early spring after your new growth reaches at least three or four inches. Any less and it won't work. Only cut healthy NEW growth from the mother plant. These are all the lighter colored stems and leaves growing around the outside of the mother plant. You can't miss them. Keep the soil moist until you start seeing movement from your stem. Don't flood it, and don't go getting all antsy and impatient, pulling it up to see if it has roots! If you're looking at a happy green stem after a week, she's got roots growing in. Leave it be! If you're wilting over after a week, pull back and regroup. Something is off. Your soil! Too much of something or not enough of another! Once you learn what works, you'll be trying to transplant the entire garden! It's fun and gets you out of the house, if nothing else! Plants aren't cheap either! If you can double or triple your investments then I'd say that was a winner winner chicken dinner! The misses always likes hearing about money saving projects.
