It's not 887...
My own fault, really - got greedy :o) Was looking for a tool-only 887 and saw this - a tool, a bag, 2x batteries and a charger for few bucks more... What could possibly go wrong? ;o) OK, it's not 887 - no selector for power, one LED light, less torque. The batteries with no indicator of charge - not sure which ancient stockpile they pulled these from as I thought they'd stopped making those years ago. Not a biggie, as I have a few charged up at any point and the Li-ion units run at full capacity until they're dry anyhow.. Charger? Straight into the bin. I could never fathom why DeWalt persist in making 2 different models of chargers. One - hardwired 110V and another - for the rest of the world. They both charge the same batteries. Almost any other appliance in the world seems to have either a simple switch or just discern the incoming voltage automatically. Duh... Anyhow, the tool itself is fine - lightweight, compact and actually powerful enough for general use. And being DeWalt I expect it to last for years to come. Lesson learned - read the small details carefully before clicking the "Order" button :o)
