Firmware is Walmart’s so no wireless capability.
Giving a five for the zebra quality, three for the description which isn’t completely clear in telling you what they are selling you. I didn’t read the description carefully enough nor is it 100% straightforward. I knew these had wireless capabilities but the ones you buy from this seller are not. These are part of a surplus of printers custom programmed for Walmart stores. As such they are useable with a cord ( just like it says) but not through a network so you will see the red “three box” icon on saying it is not connected to the network. What I did get though was I’m pretty not a refurbished but rather new Zebra printer that is industrial grade that can be used just like a new, unprogrammed ones and prints my online sales shipping labels clearly, again, as long one is ok with a corded connection to the computer. So basically I saved $500 on a commercial grade zebra printer which usually sells new in the mid-eight hundred dollar range but sacrificed wireless connectivity and have to keep looking at the red light on. I can’t say the seller was deceitful because the item description had the info although they could have been clearer on what “provisioned by Walmart” meant. Which is that it’s a machine Walmart ordered for their operations but for some reason never used and specifically programmed for their firmware. Would I buy it again? It’s a good deal if you know what you’re doing so probably. My online business is small and saving $500 off a new one or buying another brand , like the much less expensive Dymo but that forces you to buy their labels at 4 times the price of generic labels, probably makes sense for me right now. If my business takes off I may invest in a new zebra at some point and take advantage of wireless connectivity. Zebra label printers themselves are the best in my opinion and their (Zebra’s) tech support is great.
