I love eggs.I don't cook, or even have a stove in my efficiency apartment.I read somewhere that dumping just boiled eggs into a bowl of cold water makes it far easier to peal the eggs, I find tap water works well enough.With this gadget, I'm happy!

I had a similar product for 30 years and it never once blew up an egg. This one blew up eggs on the very first use. Can I give a negative star?

For something so simple I was never able to make hard boiled eggs and peel them without ruining the egg.This item allows perfect eggs every time and they practically peel them selves.

First time using the thing blew up in the microwave and eggs went everywhere. Eggs aren’t cheep these days. 4 eggs cost too much to just blow up in the microwave.

I've had this style microwave egg boiler before, and thought they were all the same. They are not.This one does not have a fill line, so the user must approximate how much water is sufficient. The design of the metal egg tray makes it difficult to remove from the reservoir, as there is no lip to grab.The lid twist to lock. If you do not lock the lid, it will come off in the microwave. The cook times on the box are for 500 watt and 600 watt microwaves. There are no times listed for higher wattage.On the positive side, for a 1000 watt microwave the cook time is only 5 minutes, which is 2 to 3 minutes faster than other models.

1) on the box it says to "fill to water line", but the item I got did not have that line2) on the box it says "for full ripe, 10 min at 600w." My microwave is 1200 watt, so set at power 50%. Egg exploded at 7 minutes, blew the top of the boiler off and so exposed the metal part in the microwave. What a messI would return the item, but threw away the product box.

Worked fine using the instructions printed on the box. No problems. Only minor issue I had is that it is very hot when it comes out of the microwave so use potholders.

i doubt that this will last very long as it is very cheap plastic. but i will use it anyway. it does not give very clear instructions and the top seems like it doesn't want to ever get dry inside. it is fun to use and for now does work
