Arctic Skid-Resistant Carpet Stair Treads work great on most hard stair surfaces including wood, tile and marble! These stair treads feature a thick, premium, skid-resistant rubber backing to help create a safer, more secure, slip-resistant walking surface for you and your family including your dog or other pets. They can be placed directly onto your stairs to help protect the surface and create additional traction. Although these carpet stair treads do have a skid-resistant backing, they do not attach to your steps. To ensure that they do not move. These stair treads are easy to clean with a hand-held vacuum or hose attachment and can also be spot cleaned. Due to the skid-resistant rubber backing these stair treads are only front loading machine washable at cold or warm on delicate cycle. Do not using top loading washers. Do not tumble dry, or Iron. Great for adding tread to slippery stairs
Our three dogs slipped on our wood stairs. They also scratched the heck out of the wood. So we got these pads and they work fine. They're quite wide so cover most of the top of the stair. They do move around a fair bit but stay in place when you step directly on them. The result is they work for our purposes, but are always a bit out of line. As mentioned elsewhere, they're shipped folded so they take a little while to flatten out. Eventually, they do, though.

Great purchase
I purchased these for our staircase because we have small children and we are carrying them up and down the stairs quite a bit. We weren't ready to invest in a permeant runner so these have been a great solution for us. Each step pad is very neatly bounded without any frayed edges and they were very easy to install. I purchased a roll of carpet tape from Home Depot for 7 dollars and they were installed in under 30 minutes. Great economical choice and looks great too!

Adhesion isn't as good as claimed.
I would like them to stay place in better, they tend to slide a bit when using on wooden steps.

I like the the look and the material
I like the the look and the material. They make it easier for the dogs to go up and they are not scratching the stairs as they go up or down. The carpet stripst do move a bit, so that is the only reason I am giving it a three rating.

Good value, they do not slide around on my wooden stairs. Great for buyers with dogs that have trouble getting up and down the stairs
