Replacement Dyson DC-07 Replacement Hose Part # 911862-10 (Color Varies)

I've had a DC07 for more than 15 years and it is still going strong. I have had to replace several parts on it, and have usually gotten Dyson original parts, except for the hose. We started buying generic replacements about 10 years ago and have had a couple of bad failures, but the last one we got was a good quality product that required some homemade fixes to fit properly. It lasted far more than I would have guessed at the time. All of that brings me to this product. It seems to me that they worked out all the kinks and have managed to produce a very decent replacement. The key part for a good suction fit is the clip. Their clip points out from the body of the connector and it fits great. The hose does not come off from the vacuum when using it extended. The inner circumference of the hose is bigger and the extension tube slides in without effort. The hose itself is flexible and seems to be of comparable quality to the original hose. I can't speak of durability yet, overall I am happy with my purchase and I am ready to put it through its paces.

Fits our dc07 perfectly. We tried other versions from other distributors with no luck because it wouldn’t fit over tube. This one looks and fits like it actually came with our vacuum originally. Highly recommended !

So far (1.5 years), so good. I do wish it was about a foot longer -- detaching it and using it for bare floors, it doesn't make it to the top of my stairs. Just a foot longer and it would be perfect. Have ordered another one as I don't expect it to last forever. Dyson Animal, at least 20 years old -- it's a beast but sucks up everything.

Looks good. Works well once installed, but hose is so snug on the handle it’s very difficult to remove and replace.

I bought two other vacuums hoping for what I liked because the hose to my ancient Dyson had split. The other vacuums have been *meh*, so I ordered this replacement and an irritated that I didn't buy it years sooner. It connected in place very easily on both ends- no wizardry required and immediately my old pal is back in business with the newer vacuums have been relegated to the back of the bunch. It does need a little stretching and breaking in, but I figure that will happen with time.

I noticed a lot of 1-star reviews on this product claiming it doesn’t fit a DC07 Dyson and that it’s actually designed for Hoover models. All I can tell you is that it fits my DC07 perfectly and effortlessly. I had to return another similar product from a different manufacturer that did not fit at all, but had no issues with this one. It’s possible that there are some variations in DC07 specifications, but I doubt it. At the very least, unlike the other product, the hose is made from the correct type of flexible material, making it easy to insert the handle correctly.

Vacuum cleaner works like new again.

the hose is way too tight when trying to insert the stick into it for upright use. it requires a lot of twisting and pushing/pulling to eventually get it in place so you can reassemble the vacuum. I imagine that this will prematurely wear down the hose and cause the same holes I was trying to fix with this replacement. it is not OEM. The product details state the manufacturer is Dyson. this is not true. they conflict this spec in their description that says "generic made replacement..."

This hose actually worked without requiring any modification. Previous hoses I have tried needed some modification/s to make them fit properly or stay connected to the machine. Hope this hose lasts longer than the previous ones...
