Lubegard 60902 Automatic Transmission Fluid Protectant, 10 oz

Bought a used transmission for a 1st generation Honda CRV at a salvage yard. It shifted hard with a little shudder. I changed the fluid with the 3 flush recommended. Change, drive 100 miles, change, run and replace and at the 3rd I added this with the fluid. 20-30 miles it shifted much easier and the shudder is gone. Great product.

Excellent product. 2014 Silverado with a 6L80 transmission. Completely fixedslipping between gears. I rarely write reviews, but this deserves to be shared.

Works great. Had a hard shifting between 1st and 2nd gear especially when the car is cold. After adding this it was much better. I’m actually surprised at how much of a difference it made. Highly recommend

My 2011 Honda CR-V has an issue with torque converter shudder and occasionally shifts quite hard. Despite my best efforts changing the ATF every 3rd oil change (15,000 miles or so), it was getting worse with harsher than normal shifting and worse shuddering. I added 6 oz of this additive to the transmission after a fluid change and it did wonders with the shifting issues. Shifts far better now. It did help the shuddering some but it did not get rid of it, but I expected that since at this point the torque converter clutch is probably too far gone to save it. Good additive Ill be adding some every fluid change now to nurse the transmission along until I can afford to replace it.

Up sifts and down shifts improved considerably. Much smoother operation and downshift " jerk" is gone. I also changed transmission fluid twice to ensure clean and fresh fluid. 354K and still running.... Toyota!

I didn't have any particular issues with my transmission other than it was due a drain and refill (Hyundai Elantra at 90K miles). After researching Lubegard online it was recommended as a good preventative to avoid excessive wear in the transmission. I included 10oz with my latest fluid change and I swear I can tell a difference. I'll have to admit it is a little subjective but shifting appears smoother. I've only put 1500 miles on the car since doing it so I'll have to update this review in the future if I notice anything else. Considering the cost of a little maintenance versus a replacement transmission I think this is well worth it. Make note that this isn't recommended for all transmissions so check suitability on the manufacturers site.UPDATE:After 4000 miles (vehicle now at 92000 miles) I can still tell a difference in shifting. Highway miles definitely seem to have smoother transitions and I don't even notice my 1 to 2 shifts around town.

So far my sbifts are smooth have a little lag on 1st to second but i have nit hit the 100 miles on it so im happy so far. The car is not a daily ritenow but damb it made a huge diffrance. Make sure you change thw fluid and filter with this product and your gona be amazed. Its safe to use the whole bottle and maybe evn 2 im gona in a cuplw hindred miles. Just dont over fill your transmission. Recommend!!

I recently did a pan drop and filter change on my 10R80 10 speed at 42,000 miles. The transmission was working well, no real issues, the occasional hard shift but nothing bad. I decided to give the lubegard additive a try. It seemed like the shifts were smoother and less noticeable after the lubegard was added. There was no negative effects from the additive that I can tell, I will use it in the future.
