Sharpie Rub-a Dub Laundry Markers Black, 2pk

It is the only laundry marking pen I know that does not wash out when laundry is done in institutional laundries.

Does what it's supposed to do! Easy to use and stays on most fabrics! Had to purchase for my mother entering a nursing home for all her clothing and the only items they did not stay adhered to were fuzzy socks, otherwise very happy with the product!

So I have purchased different fabric pens over the years to fix bleach, stains, spots, etc on black clothing as that’s my primary color that I wear. Most of them worked OK but eventually would dry clean or wash out this is amazing. The black actually blends into most black colors and it doesn’t look reddish as some of the other pins do, it definitely wash and dry cleaning. I keep it in my sewing kit and believe me I use it way more than I would like to admit in fact, my hubby the other day came to me with a big bleach stain on his jeans as he didn’t realize he sprayed Clorox bleach all over his pants and we were able to save this fabulous little pen.

The "Rub-A-Dub" laundry markers have worked for me for 30-plus years. The chemistry they used is different from what Sharpie is using. Still, the sharpie formulation stands up better than the alternatives even though it does not last as long as the old formula against weekly laundry with chlorine bleach. I occasionally find an original "Rub-A-Dub" marker and do another comparison test in my laundry, with the same results. Watch your chemistry folks!

The markers were used on the iron on labels that I purchased. After months of my dad's clothes being washed and dried, the marker is still very visible. I'm sure the labels and marker will outlast his clothing.
