The first thing you'll notice is how thin the wiring is. Do NOT yank on the string or you will break it. I had to repair my strand while putting it up, and while I'll admit I was not being gentle, a normal light strand would not have have ripped apart. Also, these seem to have great variation in quality. I purchased four of these, and one of the strands new could only hold a charge for about an hour, and the others all started having dramatically shorter lives within a couple of weeks. I live in Pasadena during a historic drought, so getting light isn't an issue, just don't count on these lasting longer than a month.However, they do work, and if you just want to have them for a single season, they'll do the job. That said, unless getting power to what you're putting these on is a major challenge, I'd recommend just getting normal plugin LED's. They take a tiny amount of power, and I highly doubt you'll ever recoup the added cost of the solar over a normal strand on your electric bill because they are so efficient. These are also harder to put on a tree because you can't strand them together like you can normal lights.

Horrible, don’t waste your money. I bought the blue and clear for my card bottles in the front of my house. I also bought red from a different manufacture and they are still working. This blue one and clear one did not. Cannot do anything about it says it’s out of warranty. Six weeks only and it died. I’m very disappointed. I contacted the company directly, since Amazon wouldn’t do a thing about it. The company is reshipping me my two light strings hopefully they will last longer than six weeks..

We are using these to light a path through the woods. They are perfect for our project with the 7 feet lead the solar panel is able to charge in full sun light . Then lights start at the beginning of the path down the hill. And run 55 feet ! Ordering another set to come up the hill from the other side and they should just about meet perfectly. The lights are not super bright but light the woodchip path just the way I visioned it in my mind. I can not say how long they will last because we just put them up I'll be happy if they last a year or 2. I might have to order a set to run around the trampoline . Oh and the blue is so calming and beautiful!

I have to leave for work before sunrise, and I was surprised to see that the string was still flashing away with as little of daylight that we have in late December, and as long as the night has become. I like using solar, as it allows me to place them anywhere on my property without getting electric to that spot somehow. They are automatic, so they work well under the conditions that I place them. I had a problem last year using regular lights, the plug got snowed under, and there was a shorting due to the water at the plug area, so I like the lack of a possible fire or shock hazard.

These are very well made holiday lights for any desire to celebrate; today is the Winter Solstice. They are blue, red and green which I hoped they would be; I was a bit unsure based on the picture. Besides their beauty, the small solar unit seems top notch in quality. It charged the lights with one day of winter sun. I had it on the stake it comes with placed in a plant at first. Then I rolled some tape and secured it to a ledge because there were some strong winds, but otherwise it would stay in place. It also senses light so the lights come on when the light of the day is gone and stay on until the dawn the next morning. They are wonderful; I would like to give them as gifts to others. Thank you.

These lights are great. Even with these short winter daylight hours, the lights stay on all night. They're a true bright blue but are not obtrusively bright. I use them to line the edges of my deck. They were shipped quickly and arrived in a couple of days. I wish they had a longer string also.Ten months later one of the two lights stopped working. Not great but I really liked the lights so I ordered a third one to replace the first. But now the second light has also stopped working. I am not happy. For the price I can't complain too much but not even a year and they both broke. And there's no phone number or address or web site to contact for help.

These lights are nice when they work, but unfortunately 5 of the 10 I bought stopped working. At first, they stopped working on intermittent occasions, but then they stopped working completely (within a couple of weeks after setting them up). Also, even when they are functioning, rain and/or a cloudy day will make the lights function poorly that night.Update:I pulled these out a year after I first bought then and 80% worked great (for a short time all worked). I think the amount of sunlight and rain effects them greatly. Long story short, if there not wet, they will work but the amount of time depends on how sunny it was. If they get wet, I think you have to wait for them to dry out completely before they start working again (but again that's only some - maybe the seal on those isn't tight).Update 2: After 2 years, all the 100 light ones no longer work. But all of the 60 light ones are working great. So I recommend those, but note that the elements (rain, snow and light) will significantly effect performance.

Really nice. I have a dual purpose: to decorate around an uninhabited house to make it appear lived in and to deter squirrels in this particular tree...The blue is a brilliant Police Car blue, and you can have the lights blinking or steady.They don't last the night, but that is ok. I taped the solar input to the tree using wire and made sure it is directed smack at the sun. I bunched them up a lot so they are a dense color (spreading them out a lot would dilute the colors as these are small LED lights.) I'm impressed, really cheap price too.

Ok ... saddly I must do a bad review... I say "saddly" beceause the idea is great... I mean... Solar type is good for the planet ... in a way.BUT... It don't last very long... and if there is some fog in the air, or snow... it's even worst. They will only barely open for an hour... not more.In the best case, the Lights will turn on and they will last MAXIMUM 4 hours.... and when I say MAXIMUM ... it's very the maximum ... so if you think that you will look outside at 10PM and see you beautifull blue light open ... ... mmm this will only be a dream. This product don't deserve to be buy because it will be soon in the trash can. And now we must try to avoir spilling things like that.Not a green choice at all because it don't last and it finish useless.

This is the second time I have purchased this set of lights. The first set purchased last year, the string broke in pieces. It’s an outdoor light string but apparently cannot withstand the elements. When and if the second set purchased break again, I will not be purchasing again as it is a waste of money to have to replace yearly.

I purchased the multi coloured lights and as of now they are working great, and I also purchased lights from this company and have been quite happy I even had one bad set of which they immediately sent a replacement with out any question.

Bought two sets Sept 2020, used one night to test, then put away for spring since Covid cut short deck parties, took out yesterday and one didn't work. Tried new batteries still doesn't work. Other one works just fine. Very disappointed.

Great blue colour but quality is garbage fell apart in the wind had them a little over a month.My last set lasted over 4 years winter summer spring fall.
