What is the thickness on this product?

1/2 inch. Do not believe current image of 1.5 inch. Sure you could probably pull/fluff it to get 1.5 but that is not the main purpose of product. Wishing I bought more to double it up or simply bought elsewhere where thicker.

Would this make good filler for little jewelry gift boxes?

It would work but you'd be filling little jewelry boxes for a long time with this amount of dacron.

Can this be layered to increase thickness? If so, do I need an adhesive to attach the layers? I need to replace porch swing cushions.

Yes it can be layered & it would be best to attach the layers with a spray adhesive to keep them from sliding around inside the cushion and get "lumpy" & twisted. Just spray both sides (for permanent bond) lightly, let set for a couple of minutes them bond them. There is an outdoor dacron available....but prob have to purchase from an upholstery supplier, it is more dense & heavier...but this should work fine.

Note - very wrinkled but got better after putting in dryer low heat

This isn’t the best quality but usable for my purpose. Initially came very wrinkled but after putting in the dryer low heat with a damp towel, a lot of the wrinkles came out. Still not great but ok enough to use now

Different Yardages are different thicknesses

PURCHASE: I ordered 10 yards and then an additional 5 yard package.SHIPPING: The 10 yard box arrived Fed Ex and took 5 business days. The 5 yard box arrived in 2 days. I opened each and fluffed as suggested.QUALITY OF PRODUCT: The 10 yards of batting offered a different quality than the 5 yard batting package. I had to use 3 layers of the 5 yard batting to meet the same thickness as the 10 yard batting. The difference is like ordering a $19.99 bed in a bag vs a $99.99 bed in a bag.
