Q: The larger head is fixed to the shower arm? But the water feed for both heads is thru hose? But doesn't the hose lower water pressure, esp for larger?

The water feed is through the pipe from the wall. There is then a three-way diverter with settings for large head only, both heads and small portable head only. If you use the both heads setting there is a slight loss of pressure. Have not found it to be very much of a drop, even at the both setting plenty of pressure for rinsing hair. Have made the pressure modification others refer to and my semi-scientific tests shows water usage almost equal due to shorter shower time. Easy to switch the flow diverter without looking. Have been pleased with product.
