Initial review is WOW! Price was great and shipping was super fast. I have read a lot of reviews on various pants and this is what I settled on. Never owned anything like this before and have been curious on how they would feel and work (usually just wear jeans and sometimes they just don't cut it). My use is just for hiking, geocaching and goofing off. The features on these pants really appealed to me. Just received them and the fit is great, the cut is pretty good, the quality appears top notch and it has all the features I was looking for. I currently wear a 36x32 in Levi jeans ( have been losing a little bit of weight). These jeans are just a little snug. I ordered these in the same 36x32. with the expandable waist, I'm about in the middle of the expandable part. Can go a little up and a little down - and this is a very comfortable position. The length is just a bit longer that the Levi's but not too long. Just barely touches the floor in bare feed, so with shoes it is perfect. Really looking forward to putting them through my regular routine to see how they do. If as expected, I will get at least one more pair, maybe two!

I usually wear size 36" W x 32" L, but in Tru-Spec 24/7 pants I always order 36" W x 34" L, because the extra 2" length is taken up by the fine thinner pant material folding around the ankles in a manner that looks good. If I don't do this, then the length may be true, but my pant legs flop around my ankles when I walk because the pant material is very nice, fine thin ripstop. I have found through humiliating trial and error that the best way to eliminate this "pants flop" is to go one size longer in length. Your pants will technically be too long, but they will fit better around your ankles because you have more length to work with. They won't flop around your ankles when you walk, which happens when you don't have enough length, even though that length may be true. It's the nice material, which billows more easily than similar pants by other makers who use stiffer cheaper material. Excellent pants, by the way, highly recommended -- very comfy, big cargo pockets, and green goes well with many colors. (Also, wait for them to go on sale, because the full price is a little steep.)

Been buying Tru-Spec for a couple of decades even with changes in materials and fit and pockets. Still wish they included mag pockets . I am really fond of the Assent pants as lighter weight and a better fit in the crouch. It would be nice if their knee pad pockets would fit their knee pads better, way too loose. Either make a large knee pad or smaller pocket size.
