I bought these for my "build a lifesize working R2-D2 robot project". They work extremely well taking a 24VDC input from two scooter batteries and regulating it down to 12VDC and another one I use for 5VDC. They are incredibly compact by design and super easy to hook up and adjust the output voltage to your needs. I tested them with my multimeters and the regulated output voltage matched the onboard display readout perfectly. A GREAT product that I will definitely buy again should the need arise... like building an R5-D4 next....hmmmm anyway. It's a super product at a great price. I bought a package of 3 and all worked perfectly!

Work well but had a fault with one unit. They asked me to send it back for a replacement, not worth the effort.

These are amazingly good and very efficient. The built in volt meters incoming and output are great. As well you can calibrate them. NEVER GOING BACK TO THE 79 78 SERIES. Imagine you can nicely put in 35 volts and get out any value you want as long as it is 1.6 volts less than input. I use these with robot cars where I need 5 volts, 3.3 volts and am still able to power my motors with 12 volts. No noticeable heat generated.

I've got these converters in less than a day (!), and the first impression is strictly positive: the device looks professionally made, good quality parts, very bright display that can be switched on/off. Voltmeter shows voltages on both ends with good precision, right on the dot with its 0.1V accuracy. Hope it lasts.
