Excellent Performance, Value, Customer Support
5-STAR WATER FILTRATION PERFORMANCE WITH NO LEAKS 5-STAR CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH LIVE USA BASED, KNOWLEDGABLE TECH SUPPORT I’d researched residential water filtration systems for a while. I kept coming back to iSpring. BEFORE YOU BUY: MEASURE YOUR WATER PRESSURE (PSI) AND TOTAL DISSOLVED SOLIDS (TDS/PPM) then contact iSpring and they’ll recommend the system optimized for your unique water issues. I purchased a ppm digital water meter for around $20 at plumbing supply store, ran my ‘cold’ sink water and wrote down my ppm. Install a water pressure gauge (psi gauge) which may require a plumber, or purchase a gauge with a female threaded end to connect to a garden hose or utility sink with a threaded faucet. Last resort is if you are on municipal water, call your city water department, provide your address and ask for the psi to your address, they’ll give you an ‘estimated’ psi range. Record your ‘static’ psi readings when no water is running in the building. A psi reading, when water is flowing, may result in a slightly lower reading (depending on how the building is plumbed). If you are in a multi-family dwelling, verify if you are on separate water meters, if not, try and take several readings at low water use times, such as early mornings before neighbors wake, then calculate the average psi. Call iSpring, give them your ppm and static psi readings. They will advise you on the correct system to meet your unique water ppm and psi readings. Low psi residences may require an iSpring system with a water pressure pump, whereas high psi residences may require a system with an iSpring factory preset pressure reducer. iSpring is engineered to provide optimum performance between 45-70 static psi. The closer you can get to 70 psi, without going over, the better the RO filter will work and last. iSpring provides 5-STAR product support. I called and spoke to Nick a customer support manager, a real U.S.A. based professionally trained tech support specialist who has the answers memorized and is not reading a script. Inside the shipping box flap is a QR code. I suggest you scan it and watch the highly produced installation video and use it often. Each installation step has individually wrapped corresponding parts with individual installation instruction booklets. Installation is fool-proof. When you install and begin cutting tubes, never cut with scissors, pilers, serrated blades or knife. Each locking clip has a tab, the tab must always face the tube and not fitting. I had no leaks first time out. Mount the filter metal manifold - with the 3 pre-filters - before you flush them, as flushing the system with water will add weight and make it difficult for one person to lift and mount it. I suggest getting some scrap 2”x4” lumber or brick pavers to rest the pre-filter canisters on while you mark your screw holes with your sharpie marker. Be certain to mount the bracket high enough to leave room below to remove the pre-filter canisters. Install mounting screws, check for fit, then place the system on a towel on the floor during the entire installation process to assure full view of all fittings and inspect for leaks. Hang the filter manifold as your last step, leave the tube slack and zip tie them out of the way. The 3 Pre-filter canister O-rings are loose fit into a groove and should be installed vertically into the manifold to prevent the O-rings from unseating while you hand tighten. Don’t lay the canisters down to install them. Once installed, stand the filter system on a towel on the floor, then begin the filter flush step as directed and watch for leaks. If leaks appear, use the wrench turning it slowly until the leak stops, then stop tightening. This prevents over tightening and leaking. iSpring systems are designed to operate in a maximum ambient temperature of 100 degrees F. For hot climates, I suggest purchasing 3M Company adhesive cupboard door stops. They are rubber pads with glue backing. Stick them on the inside of your frame so they contact the cupboard door and create a gap between your cupboard door and frame to allow air circulation. Hang a thermometer in the cupboard to be sure. After installing your iSpring system, the remineralization stage releases more minerals over time as it breaks-in, so your ppm will increase. Furthermore, your static water pressure (psi) has an inverse relation to remineralization. The higher the psi, the lower the minerals released. A psi close to 70 will increase system filtering, life of your RO filter and decrease waste water. CONCLUSION: From my experience: iSpring provides world-class product support and filtration system. My water system has no leaks, and is currently providing water, with minerals added, at 10 ppm. It is clear and delicious. iSpring is American engineered and backed by 'Nick' their expert live American-based customer support manager iSpring RCC7AK-UV All components tested by and passed/exceeded NSF/ANSI 58 Certified Standards iSpring will advise you on the proper system when you provide your water ppm and static psi readings and support you through your entire DIY installation

Fantastic, hands down
I’ve wanted one of these filters for years now, once I learned a bit about the chlorine, fluoride, and microplastics in my tap water. While my wife and son drink water from our Brita pitcher, I normally would just drink from our kitchen sink where the water isn’t as cold and not as painful for my sensitive teeth. I drink about two pots of coffee a day, take 1/2 gallon of water with me to work each day, and drink probably another 1/2 gallon per day while I’m home. It’s a lot of tap water! When I first discovered these filters, we were renting an apartment, so it didn’t seem worth the effort to install. Once we bought our house, there were a million other things to spend money on first! 2.5 years since we moved in, a solid Black Friday sale coupled with our wedding anniversary finally made this purchase happen. I ordered it at 11:00am this morning, and it was at my door before 2:00pm same day. I ended up installing the filters in my basement, directly underneath the kitchen sink, to save some space. The water tank is under the sink, for now (I may also move that to the basement). Having the filters in the basement made the install a bit slower, having to go up and down the stairs a bunch, but all in all it took me about 2.5 hours to install. I needed a drill to mount the filter rack to the wall, but other than that the only tool I needed was a pair of channel locks. The process was straightforward, and there was no point in time that I was confused as to what my next steps were. The only thing that tripped me up was the reverse osmosis filter itself, but that was only because I didn’t fully seat it in its housing at first. Once I fully popped it in, the housing cap screwed on, no problem The push-to-connect fittings are very easy to work with, and I had no leaks once I brought the system to pressure. There’s even an included auto-stop valve that’s supposed to detect leaks and shut off the water automatically, which is a great peace of mind. The instructions direct you to visually check the install each day for the first two weeks. I’ll be doing that, but knowing that auto-stop is on there still makes me feel much better about things (I’m an electrician, not a plumber lol). Not wanting to use the drain saddle, I ran my drain line directly to the utility sink in my basement. I didn’t plan for it, but being able to physically see water leaving the drain is a convenient way to be able to tell if the system is actively filtering water in the moment, or whether the tank is full The water tastes great, better than the Brita in my opinion. I bought the version that has the Alkaline filter final stage to remineralize the water for taste, and I’m happy with that decision. Highly filtered water often tastes bland, but that’s not the case with this unit. I could fill up a bottle for some fancy spring water with this stuff, and I doubt anyone would notice there’s a difference Product quality seems solid, and the reviews lead me to believe it’ll all hold up for years to come. The faucet is a little wobbly, but I understand it can’t be too tight without risking failure. The flow rate from the faucet is perfectly adequate for a glass of water, too. Not as fast as the tap, but that’s to be expected. Tomorrow it’ll get put to the real test, when I fill up my 1/2 gallon water bottle and brew a pot of coffee. The reservoir tank supposedly holds 2.6gallons though, so I don’t foresee any issues. The rest of the family wakes up hours later, and the tank will no doubt be refilled by that point. On initial startup, the first tankful took about 1.5 hours to fill up. Per the instructions, I then poured that first tank out, presumably to remove any potential manufacturing contaminants. That waiting game for the first good glass of water was probably the hardest part of the whole install I’ve wanted one of these things for years. I finally purchased and installed one today, and I’m incredibly happy with the end result. I wish I did it sooner, but the next best time is today, right? The company seems to stand behind their products in terms of warranty and returns, and at such an attractive price, there’s really not much risk in giving this filter a shot in your home. I think you’ll be as satisfied as I am!

Easy to install, great water
Relatively easy to connect hoses and everything in the correct order, but be patient because set up takes time. There is extra time to do the initial filter rinse, then you have to fill the reservoir tank and empty it twice, then you can drink after the third fill. But the time is well worth it, the water tastes great and it's a massive improvement from my tap water. One more thing I didn't know is that for every 1 gallon of drinkable water, 3-4 gallons of "waste water" is produced and that is the water that flushes your RO filter and makes your filter last longer. Even then it is still pennies to operate compared to bottled water. I have already recommended this system to all of my family members because it's absolutely worth more than the cost and time to install plus there's always clean water.

Great Water Quality & Even Better Support After a Missing Part
I’m really happy with the iSpring RCC7AK now that it’s up and running, but the experience started with a major hiccup. When I unboxed the unit to begin installation, I discovered the Faucet was completely missing from the package. It was frustrating to have to halt the project before I even started. However, I contacted support and worked with Nick, who was outstanding. He acknowledged the issue immediately and sent a replacement faucet via expedited shipping that same day. While the missing part was a hassle, the customer service from Nick was top-tier and saved the experience. Installation & Performance Once the faucet arrived, the actual install took about 1.5 hours. It was much easier than I first thought, especially with the quick-connect fittings. The Tank: The design is great - it only needs a single water tube and works via air pressure (has a Schrader valve). It’s been working perfectly. Water Quality: The taste is excellent. The 6-stage process makes a noticeable difference. One Recommendation The YouTube installation videos are still very helpful, but iSpring should really refresh them. Several parts in the videos seem to be for an older version of the filter, which can be a bit confusing during the process.

the best fit for my needs and affordable too!
Who knew I'd be glad there is no outlet under my sink? I bought this system after quite a bit of research because, without an outlet easily available for one of the much-more-expensive RO systems with a built in pump for high flow rates, this system seemed best for (1) ease of install and maintenance and (2) a straightforward remineralization option. Plus (3) it is relatively affordable, and (4) other reviewers have noted that the company is especially helpful with issues. So: (1) I did in fact install this myself with absolutely no prior experience with plumbing. I watched the installation video before ordering, so I knew I'd need to be comfortable drilling into my counter and sink discharge. In the end I got lucky and managed to get the faucet through my old sprayer hole in a 4-hole sink--I went ahead and updated the sink faucet to a sprayer model while I had the water supply shut off. Drilling into PVC was a new thing for me and I did have doubts several times because PVC is so slippery, but starting with the smallest bit and incrementing up one bit size at a time got me there! No leaks, and the rest of the install was absurdly straightforward plug-and-play, with most issues caused by my ancient plumbing (the hot water shut off under the sink has corroded, which didn't matter for the RO install but proved mildly annoying when replacing the main faucet). (2) More studies are needed on whether remineralization is better for your health, but I love the taste of the remineralized water despite hating my very hard pre-filtered water. I am fairly confident that I could easily bypass the remineralization step if desired. Being a massive nerd, I have subjected my guests to blind taste tests and they do choose the RO output as tastier than the unfiltered tap water but I think several would prefer the non-remineralized output, I am saving that experiment for when I have more time! (3) Turns out that this system outputs just the right amount of water for a hydrohomie household of 3. I wash fruit and veg with it, and fill all our water bottles for the day, plus fill water glasses when hosting small parties, and have not needed more capacity than the tank supplies. It's also super quiet, since it doesn't have an electric pump. I'm so glad I didn't stress about the lack of under-sink outlet because this more affordable option is actually perfect for my needs! (4) I did snap the tank valve on install which means I also get to weigh in on customer support. Nick was awesome! I tried using the online support form but the captcha thought I was a robot, so I called--Nick was patient and helpful on the phone, followed up promptly by email, and sent me two replacement valves that arrived in a few business days at no additional cost to me. Since this mistake on my end did put me back a couple of days on install, I will take this opportunity to recommend that you for sure follow the instructions not to overtighten the tank valve, which is clearly specified in the paper instructions but I wasn't thinking much about it because I'm a smaller person and rarely manage to overtighten anything. Good news is that even if you stall out a bit on the mostly straightforward install, it's super straightforward to turn off the RO supply and continue to use your usual faucet until you're ready for the next step. (The other adult in my household spent some time quite concerned that I'd need the whole house supply off while we awaited an emergency plumber, this is absolutely not a real concern!) Overall, if you're comfortable with a drill and a couple wrenches and have successfully put together flat pack furniture, and you check out your cabinet space/sink plumbing in advance, you should be able to install this yourself in a single day while still enjoying the use of all your other plumbing, and then you'll have plenty of lovely tasty water with no fuss. And even if you do manage to snap the tank valve somehow, you can still enjoy the use of all your other plumbing and also Nick will help, still no fuss!

A 5 star Reverse Osmosis water filtration system
Upon a recommendation from my brother-in-law, I purchased the iSpring RCC7 Reverse Osmosis system via Amazon. While I was initially intimidated by the technical components, the process proved to be quite manageable. Thanks to the clear instructional manual and supplemental video tutorials, the installation was straightforward and efficient. The performance of the system is exceptional. Our tap water previously measured at 252 ppm, but after filtration, it has dropped to an impressive 9 ppm. The water quality is refreshingly crisp, surpassing the taste of most bottled brands. Furthermore, the customer service experience was outstanding. Francis from the iSpring support team was incredibly helpful in assisting with my warranty registration and addressing my technical questions. His prompt and professional communication is a testament to the company’s standards. I highly recommend this system and have already shared my positive experience with several neighbors.

Great water, but lots of hassles and leaks
tl;dr It works great, but installation and maintenance hassle make it a nightmare. It's also physically huge. Service is fantastic. Almost all the water my family drinks comes from the refrigerator, so I wanted to install this behind there. Way more hassle than I imagined. It makes the fridge stick out about 6" extra. Part of this is the piece of wood behind the metal bracket, because the bracket doesn't have the standard 16" and 24" on center screw holes, and drywall anchors just won't hold the weight. Also, the tank has to sit on top of the fridge or it adds another 8" of fridge sticking out. This is a non-standard installation, but I can't believe I'm the first one to do this. The installation instructions aren't bad, but they're still a bit hard to follow at points. The external hoses are color coded, which make installation a bit simpler. The water tastes really good when you're done with the install and the filter is working like it should. Now, the bad. Though the external connection hoses are color coded, all the internal hoses are white, which makes installation of the 4th stage (the RO filter) and all following stages difficult. Don't screw up, because for some reason the supplied hoses are ever so slightly different sized than the hardware store's 1/4 polyethylene tubing. If you have to replace a hose, do yourself a favor and buy the push connectors for either side as well. It'll save you a trip back to the store. All the internal connections on stages 4-7 are 90 degree fittings. While this saves a marginal amount of space, it makes it difficult to cut the tubing to the right size, line the 90 degree fittings up to one another, and fit them together while trying to snap them into the jumble of other filters. If you don't get them lined up nearly perfectly, expect leaks. Also, while trying to align the jumble and push the fittings together, you're likely to kink one of the supplied hoses. That also causes leaks. When changing the filters, you have to pull the hoses out of the push connectors (don't lose those tiny blue horseshoe clips) so you can unscrew the plastic 90 degree adapters. The hoses don't have an unlimited lifespan, and when they're done, it causes leaks. Not enough teflon tape on the NPT fittings (threaded part of the 90 degree adapters) causes leaks, as does wrapping the teflon tape the wrong way. Also, it's quite easy to cross thread the fittings while taking them off an old filter and putting them on a new filter, which causes major leaks and a trip to the hardware store again. Hopefully you didn't mess up the filter threads, too. The filters seem to perform well. The carbon filters create a good amount of carbon dust when new, as should be expected, and need to be rinsed and flushed or they will destroy your RO filter membrane. Stage 1 and 3 filters don't really fit onto the nubs in the top or bottom of the filter housing. This makes it a little more difficult to trust they're installed right. One of my brand new Stage 1 filters I installed got crimped in the wrong place, and needed to be replaced before ever being used. My tips: I've found it easiest to leave the plastic sleeve with the label on the polishing filter and the alkaline cartridge, because it gets confusing when you're trying to put the jumble back together and can't remember which way the water is flowing. I cut long hoses that arc over the top of the filters, so all water flows left to right thru the filter, and right to left thru the tubing. It makes my brain happier and less likely to explode, and easier to align the right angle connectors (just point them both in the same direction). This is different than iSpring does it. I bought several inline dual TDS meters for installation between the stages, so I can see how well each stage is performing. At first I only had one at the inlet and after the RO filter, but more data is never a bad thing. They're super easy to install, especially with the rainbow arc installation method. I installed a valve as a drain between the 3rd stage and the RO filter, to make it easy to flush the carbon filters after changing, after fouling an expensive RO filter. I marked all the fittings and hoses that came with the filter kit, so I know which ones came with the kit and which I've purchased separately. It helps me keep everything matched, and saves me from replacing unnecessary things in the quest to do anything to this system without causing leaks. The whole system needs to be flushed annually. iSpring doesn't provide any instructions for this. I pulled stage 1-4 filters out and washed the housings with soap and water, removed the polishing filter, and left the mineralization cartridge becasue it was easier. Filled the Stage 1 housing 1/4 with unscented bleach, screwed all the filter housings on, ran the water to get all the air out, then waited an hour for the chlorine to work. Also, the tank needs to be drained monthly as part of routine maintenance. The tank is easiest to drain by shutting it off, disconnecting it, then carrying it to the sink and opening the valve. Finally, to help cure the jumble, I designed and printed clips like the ones that hold the RO filter (with a screw), but sized for the other filters. They're posted on Thingiverse. iSpring doesn't carry such things. Haven't installed them yet, but now I can rid myself of the jumble when I find myself with lots of extra time and motivation. I can't speak for the UV filter. I got so frustrated with the rest of the system, I never hooked it up. I say I wouldn't buy this again, but given that all other systems have the same design issues, I would probably end up buying this again. Everything about it is a hassle, but you can never go back once you're accustomed to good water. I would definitely buy something again. ISpring customer service is great. My tank failed under warranty. They sent me easy to follow troubleshooting steps, then replaced the faulty part quickly. That makes me very happy, and is worth an extra star from me.

Find the right YouTube assembly video.
I had some trouble with the assembly, faucet quality that leaked, but ultimately resolved the whole thing that left me 5/5 stars happy. Let me break this down into a couple categories: Assembly - you have to find the right YouTube video that is most current, by ispring themselves. Other videos miss a key part of running water through the carbon filter to get an initial large amount of black sediment (charcoal) from making its way through the next filter and shortening its life. Overall this was easy to assemble. Minimal Teflon taping, lots of quick connects, just a cramped space under everyone’s sink to deal with. Product quality - the whole system is solid, easy to understand, and trustworthy once you turn it on and don’t see any water. The faucet that came with my system was flimsy, the spout wobbled a ton, and I came to find out it leaked. I did research and found it was the cartridge that had a small plastic piece broken on it. Which leads me to… Customer service - I inquired about a replacement part, which Nick told me they did not have. He instead filed a warranty claim for me and got me an upgraded faucet with expedited shipping. Let me tell you… the upgraded faucet is rock solid and really what should come with the system in the first place. I believe it is the GA-1. Summary: manufacturers defects happen and don’t deserve less stars. Me finding the right YouTube video on second try was totally user error and can be resolved by the faulty video being taken down or redirected. Also doesn’t deserve less stars. The customer service was reasonably fast, had a small team vibe that left me feeling like they cared, and the resolution was above and beyond what I initially expected. The value for what I paid is insane considering how good this water tastes. 5/5 stars easy.
