I bought the medium sized beanbag for a recent safari to Africa. To save weight in my luggage, I was able to get rice in the country I was traveling to. I recommend putting the rice, or whatever else you choose to use, in separate bags rather than just pouring it into the beanbag. I filled two bags with rice then stuffed them into the beanbag and they worked great. I was able to lay the beanbag on the rail of the Jeep and it gave me a sturdy, stable resting area for my camera. I would buy again!

The media could not be loaded. Works very well. It is much smaller than pictured on the product page but a 60-600 lens does fit. There is not much working room but for todays test it passed. .That said the first test tonight shooting 10 seconds of video using the bag on a car door open window (which i purchased it exclusively for) worked much better than expected. The big long lens sat perfectly still and the video was fine even in a slight wind.While i was unhappy with the size to price ratio, I feel good about the product with first uses. I will do a full video in the future testing the bag.Heads up I filled the bag with nay beans . I used 3, one pound, bag which I opened and poured in. This was perfect for our Tanzanian safari. Gave us the perfect, clean, and unabrasive spot to set my new dslr camera (a Nikon d3400)Pros: durable, lightweight (when empty), easy carry handles, fits easy on any bar, seat, branch less than 4 inches wide.Cons: I wish the zipper was at the bottom of one of the legs. It was a little hard to fill and empty but this is only a minor complaint.I'd recommend this to anyone thinking of some photography out of a car.

I read that filling the bag was a pain but I didn’t think so. I did as the instructions said and poured the Grizzly pods in a box. Then used a tablespoon to fill. It takes time and patience but I was done in about 15 minutes. I used a fork to push the pods down into the bag which worked better than the spoon.It’s light and easy to carry and sits on the carWindow edge. I already used it on a few birds. Birds are happy and not spooked as well as I stay in the car. Price is good and does what I need.

The product is well designed but the stitching is too flimsy. On the third day I used it the seam split open, spilling rice all over the safari vehicle. I had a travel sewing kit with me and did some surgery, which made it last the rest of the trip. But since the seams are guaranteed to undergo a lot of stress when it's filled with beans or rice and a heavy camera and lens are laid on top of it, the manufacturer should have anticipated this and sewn it with stronger thread. If you get this, take along a small sewing kit just in case.

I thought they would be perfect for holding my camera because my camera could sit in them, the bag would temporarily mold itself around the camera, and everything would remain steady.The actual product is made of very tough canvas, like an army tent. After you buy the bag itself, you have to buy the styrofoam pellet inserts to go in it via a separate additional purchase. After following the instructions to fill it to the brim, the bag hardly moves even when you put an anvil on it. I'm going to try to remove the pellets to see if that helps even though their instructions said to pack in as many as you can, and then pack more in, but I'm concerned the heavy fabric still preclude any allowance for the camera to sit in and create a temporary form within it.As seen in the photos, if you place the bag so that it looks like a V, there's nothing to keep it from rolling from side to side. If you place it so it looks like an inverted V, there's nothing to keep your camera from falling off.Instead, I would recommend you get a bean bag used for a juggling act or one used for a bean-bag-toss game and just use that. It will cost less and hug your camera with support when you put your camera on it.
