What are the differences between this model and the previous AirPods Pro?

There is no new AirPods Pro for 2021. Apple released the AirPods 3 which is just an updated version of the original AirPods V1 and V2. Only the AirPods Pro and AirPods Max have noise canceling and in-ear tips, which is the only difference compared to previous generations. The new AirPods 3 are just an updated version with mag safe on the charging case and spatial audio.

How is this different than the previous airpods pro? previous model number was mwp22am/a.

These are not new release. These released in 2019. The AirPods that apple just released are the 3rd generation of the regular AirPods and not Pros.

Do these come with charging cable?

It comes with a usb-c to lightening cable so if you don’t have a newer Apple product with the usb-c plug in you will need to buy an adapter…I used my regular charging cable but it’s frustrating that Apple would include the charging plug.

What is the difference between the other airpods pro listed on amazon for $197? i was not aware a new version came out. is anything actually "new"?

People are comparing all different versions here and it’s confusing so I’ll stick to AIRPOD PROs only. There are now 2 versions of AirPod pros as of 9/22. I have owned both and honestly I don’t see a big difference between them. Very disappointed. However the biggest difference is the charging case. The new case has the H1 chip build in. This is the same chip used in AirTags. It also has a small speaker used for locating only. This is a big improvement because previous I spent $35 only a special case to hold a AirTag and $25 for a AirTag. So this saves $60 and is a much cleaner look.
