Why is this logo different from the one on Gerber's website

I have several Gerber knives, including this one, and none have that symbol; that all have the traditional sword/shield looking symbol. Mine are great. I looked further into this and that logo is a logo that was retired in 2005. This information is posted in the about us - history page on Gerber's website. I would have confidence buying this knife, as long as you understand that it is an older make of it.

Package said china,but,I have to sayIf mine broke today, I'd order another one tomorrow. I've got no gripes about this knife. Hell even Buck is having some of their stuff made there. Also ,the Kershaw I was looking at was made there,and twice the price. Get one, you won't be sorry.

Can the clip be changed to left hand operation?

No. Why would you buy right-handed knife if you are left-handed? Ps. That knife is the worst knife I ever bought. It's a piece of crap no stars from me.

Where is the knife manufactured?

There are no marking on the knife to indicate made outside of the USA. please note that the knife is so small the auto assist open is worthless, at least with the size of my hands. Adult male, I can't recommend this to anyone and I'm a Gerber fan.
