The Origins of Life: From the Birth of Life to the Origin of Language

Book like new, as described.
The conclusion of the book was obviously sytactocentric like much of 20th century innateness theory, and in need of much updating and revision. The Symbolic Species by Terrance Deacon, and seminal works by Elisabeth Bates, et al. were not even mentioned.

Stimulating little compendium
Very interesting and easy enough to follow with a little effort. You do have to know a bit of science to follow many of the concepts. It could have a little more explanation and elaboration, but a nice little survey of important ideas in biology.
