This product was bought for an 14 month old boy who is being introduced to trains. It is a bit above age level however he is exploring it and likes Dad to help him as he tries to put train on tracks. He likes to hold train pieces.Seems durable.

Trains are too tall to be compatible with most bridge or underpass sets. For wide open track they work great.
