I really cool toy that keeps my four year old entertainment for hours. It is easy to assembly and kids can bring them with them anywhere. Also, it shines in the darkness while you put some AA batteries.

Cute set. Toddler likes it doesn't stand up fully but was a great price and helps with motor skills he's almost 4 pegs are small wouldn't recommend if still in the putting things in mouth stage

This version of the Lite-Brite is nice...but as with pretty much everything, including me, it's not what it was in the 1960s. It's smaller than the original, and I don't remember, but I imagine the original could be plugged into a wall outlet, while this version does not provide for that. It runs only on batteries and it turns itself off after about two minutes, certainly to prolong battery life, although I can't imagine that's truly necessary with three modern long-life batteries in there.The light has several modes: on steady, alternating areas flashing, the whole thing flashing, and a sort of progressive thing I find it hard to describe.I wish the original Lite-Brite was still available, with its higher resolution screen and light that didn't shut itself off after a period of time, but a law of nature is that everything changes all the time, and Lite-Brite is no exception.For what it is, though, it's still fun.

Got this for my grandson. He absolutely loves it.

Alas, it didn’t quite live up to my full expectations. The whole thing is a lot smaller than I remembered, and feels kind of cheap. The pegs used to be pointy, but these ones are flat, so it’s very hard to poke them through the paper (which is thicker than the original paper). It ended up hurting my fingers quite a bit. The light was plenty bright once I turned it on, but it was patchy, not illuminating the picture evenly, and the different light modes were unimpressive. I was also short of a couple pegs, and couldn’t complete the picture as designed.That said, the actual *doing* of the picture was fairly meditative and satisfying. It definitely brought me back to my childhood, which was the reason that I bought it. So although it wasn’t quite the experience I was expecting, I am glad I bought it.
